I would have told the brotha to get to steppin' right away, and then handed him his fat ass. Of course, he probably wouldn't have been man enough to step to me without his crew.

Why is this fight any different than what happens 9 million times a night in nightclubs and dance clubs all over the country?

Not to be racist, but if there's some annoying black chick in front of you, and some big black guy next to you -- you don't say jack shit. It's the law of the jungle folks.

Those people didn't do anything cuz they don't want to get punched or shot. It's not their fight. Unless he was about to get killed -- no reason to step in.

you realize it takes only one well placed shot to kill a person? I've seen it nearly happen. That black asshole put on 5 shots and the white guy never really defended himself. Any one of those blows could have been lethal.

Or how about someone i care about -- steps in on a fight that wasn't his/hers -- and winds up dead. How many times have innocent good samaritans been killed or shot?

Yes it's horrible. Yes it's bad. But we live in a violent world, a violent society and i have too many important people to care in this world than put myself in a situation like that.

And all i can do, in terms of your question, is hope they neither get into a life-threatening situation in public, where no one helps.

Oh, and if it was some scrawny white boy -- yeah i would've stepped in. But i'm a realist and know black people who look like thugs. They're mean mofos who'll track you down. :)
 
That's great that the chick's going to court for her involvement as well.

Cost to taxpayers for this guy: approx $160K plus court costs, which are going to be high because this dude probably used a public defender. They should make him pay every cent back when he gets out, except he is probably on welfare so it would be like the taxpayers paying themselves.

Maybe his baby's mama could chip in.

my younger brother who was OL in the NFL was a bit larger
not much,the 315 was distributed better
but the point is,when I went out with him,noone fucked with him
but my brother is cool and didn't invite it

How could he miss the fat bastard? It just amazed me that he made no attempt whatsoever to fight back, or get away. Just incredible. It was as if someone unplugged the "fight or flight" response in this guys brain.

Actually crime in the US has gone down, not up. You're a lot safer now than you would be fifty years ago. Violent crime is the lowest it's been since 1973. Property crime has gone down 50% in the last ten years. That news doesn't sell as well.

He ate a pretty solid right hand that he never seen coming. I think he was OUT on his feet after the first shot, the engine was running but there was nobody behind the wheel.

Thats the dangerous part about street fighting, if the guy gets a good shot in and stuns you badly. You are at his/their mercy and he will keep hitting you till he feels like stoping. At least in the ring or the cage the ref will pull the guy off once you are not able to fight anymore. Most of the damage from street fights come from Bonus Shots from the opponent once the guy is out of the fight, not really from the actual original exchange. I hate stupid fucking street fights over bullshit verbal arguments.

I see this every Friday or Saturday night that I do downtown. At bar time, everyone goes to a place called Ian's Pizza. It is fucking incredible pizza, but when you get a bunch of drunks together in a small space...something is bound to happen. I honestly don't think I have ever been to that place when a fight hasn't broken out. Now, at bar time, they have about 5 squad cars sit right across the street, and fights still break out.

this is why EVERYONE should learn how to defend themselves.

not with guns knives pepper spray but with your own bare hands..

a gun would not have helped that guy but even a month or two of self defense training would have saved his ass

people say all the time that they dont start fights or they stay out of trouble or what not but in this case trouble found this guy and he had no tools to protect himself..

that shit pisses me off... big time..

the best thing a bystander couldve done in that situation would be to distract the big dude which is dangerous and would most likely lead to you fighting him or to just try to get the guy who was hit out of there..

i dont like stepping in between people who are fighting unless one of them is a close friend or family member but if i am watching someone who is not threatened in anyway beat a man like that i would at least try to stop the beating.. but not hurt the guy who was fighting either cause thats not my place..

While I truly believe that one of the government's prime jobs is to have a monopoly on physical violence, I think it's right when, if able, you defend someone who is getting pummeled just for making a tasteless remark.

He should have kneed that doughboy in the nuts or headbutted him in the face as soon as he got into his personal space. Not like any court in the land is gonna convict him under the circumstances. Get in the first shot is always a good philosophy...don't let yourself become a victim; when someone gets that close to you, it is interpreted as a form of assault and/or a threat in most jurisdictions.

1yr of martial arts training would have taught him to keep his fucking eyes up and duck/block as soon as the guy starts to cock back for a punch. The dude acted like he never expected to be hit at all!

I'd like to think that's true. Part of me says you can't be on your guard 24-7 no matter what your training (assuming you lead a normal life and aren't a professional criminal or something). The other part says the situation was already getting pretty heated and you'd think someone would be more alert.

Either way, living in civilized society shouldn't require being on your guard ever. I guess what I am saying is that we do not live in a civilized society.

He might've also signaled to his friends saying "Right boot" to let them know of any hidden weapons that he had on him. That's the type of training you get when you spend your nights working at the Double Deuce and thwarting the plans of evil thugs like Brad Wesley and his crew of goons.

once you start training you become more aware of your surroundings..

first he probably wouldve realized that making that comment is a bad idea because the 300lb man behind him is probably with the lady in front of him and that could cause problems.

2nd he would have never ever started playing with his cell phone.. he would be aware that guy is coming up to him and most likely he is not coming up to him to shake hands and be friends..

its not just about the fight..the easiest way not to lose a fight is to not get into one and this guy couldve easily avoided the fight if he had some sense about him..

not saying at all that it is his fault or anything but if he was aware he would not be in the hospital now..

and again i said the easiest way to not loose a fight is to avoid it.. and that is what self defense is all about.. not losing.. you dont have to win.. you dont have to hurt the other person.. you just have to stay safe. that is the #1 rule of self defense..

granted id love to teach people like that a lesson once in a while especially after a bad day or when someone is f'ing up my pizza! but in reality its not worth it and true fighters/martial artists know that and rarely start or instigate fights..

the report i read said he was on the phone and when she cut in front he said "its gonna take a little longer to get my pizza" or something like that. then she starting mouthing and hitting, and genius fat boy ran out of words. doesnt sound like the victim deserved anything.

now genius fatboy is at his home away from home where he belongs, separated from civilized people. I got a feeling he'll spend more of his adult "life" inside than he will outside.
 
Let's be real here.

Guys like that get the shit kicked out of 'em in bars and dance clubs all over the country yet NO ONE (besides his friends or bouncers) step in to stop it.

Even if 300 patrons are outside the club in the parking lot watching it, enjoying it merrily to their delight and could easily take the perpetrator.

This is no different than what you see at your local testostrone-filled dance and hip hop club up the street.
