Perfecting a itunes library

i've had to do this a few times mostly cause i suck and everytime i get a new comp=lose everything on the old.

but i got a pretty fat library, and last week i somehow doubled the collection, so every song had a replica.
i spent hours delting (n2!)

i don't have a mac, next comp will be a mac labtop.
but itunes works pretty good on my cheap accer (thing is bulletproof).
i just have it for my ipod.

yea but a lotta the dl's are mislabeled as well
so when i scroll thru my albums it is all fuct up.
lil wayne's discography took days to sift thru

Same thing happened to me, iTunes is a fucking virus! I even deleted the whole damn program to start over, and somehow after a reinstall it still goes and duplicates like 20 random songs.

Maybe try deleting HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Apple Computer, Inc. so it doesn't remember all your preferences. Then it would be a fresh install mah nig nag.

Actually you can delete the key and not even need to uninstall/install, without the key it runs the app as a first time setup. Do the same thing to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office. You can do the whole office or pick an office product. I do it all the time at work for people who can't figure out wtf hot key combo they pressed when they fell asleep on their keyboard and all their settings got fucked up.

yep, i noticed yesterday, when at work, that there was multiple listings for the same artist (guns n roses/guns and roses, lil wayne/Lil Wayne, etc)
fuggin bothered me all day at work, couldn't focus on the job at hand, raced home to fix it
