People that TAN during winter via SUNBED :-)

38DD...I like the idea of using baby oil when you get out of the shower. Thanks! I might try that! :)

It works wonders, my skin is always baby soft and smooth. Since I have been using baby oil I haven't had to use any moisturizing lotions at all. What a way to save money. Being that I use it to shave also, now it is multi-purpose. Let me know how it works for you. ;)

Around here, everyone says the best tanning lotion is this Espresso stuff with a built-in bronzer. It smells really good. I am on the fair side, but I do tan moderately, and I start at about 1/2 the total time and go like 2x a week to get a base tan. Where I go the max time is 10 mins and I start at 6 and go up to 8. Basically, you get the hell out as soon as your skin starts to feel hot like its cooking (that is your warning that you are about to burn).

I have been thinking of doing Fantasy Tan instead of regular tanning beds because its so much better for your skin - but its expensive around here! I haven't gone tanning in like 6 months, and I wear spf 30 on my face neck and hands every single day. I am really afraid of looking old and I know tanning speeds up the aging process and the wrinkles. But I have to say it is very relaxing.

I wanted to add that supplementing with flax oil (and other good fats) can help keep your skin, hair, and nails from getting dry. I also use a moisturizer as soon as I dry off from the shower. If I don't, my legs will itch from dryness. Also, I'm sure you already know this but staying hydrated is key.

THERE ARE LOTS OF GOOD LOTIONS. IF YOU DONT LIKE THE TINGLE STUFF, DESIGNER SKIN MYSTERE IS VERY GOOD. IT HAS MOISTURIZERS AND BRONZERS IN IT. THATS WHAT WORKS FOR ME.

J.A., DESIGNER SKIN, SWEDISH BEAUTY, AUSTRALIAN GOLD (THE NEW STUFF), AND A FEW OTHER COMPANIES MAKE SOME GOOD SHIT. TRY SOME SAMPLES TO SEE WHAT WORKS BEST ON YOUR SKIN.

I have been doing it for over 10 years, all year round. I go once, maybe twice a week at most. The key is moderation and your skin won't age.

Use a good moisturizer every day after shower and use a lotion, I have used the low end ones and the high end ones and haven't noticed a diference except in my wallet.

My 2 cents....

I use Designer Skin Bi-Polar. It's the best one they make without a tingle factor (tingle factor irritates my skin too much). It has moisturizers to protect your skin. With any of them, you need to shower afterwards to get excess off if changing into nice clothes. Some will stay in the skin until you take a second shower later. Best place (price wise) to get them is http://internetmarketingguys.com/Designer_Skin_Tanning.htm . You'll always do best to buy 2-3 bottles at one time so it stays cheaper than buying from a tanning salon. However, most places have sample packs (enough for one sesson) so you can try it and see if you have a bad reaction or just don't like it first. Cost's more, but it's the only way to "try" something unless you know someone who will let you use some of theirs.

If you have no base tan, you'll go 5 minutes then work your way to 20 minutes (full session). In your case, look for a starter package where you either pay by time used or get more sessions for the same price because you won't use the full 20-min max everyone pays for.

Once you can do 20 minutes, once a week is enough to have a healthy looking tan. You can always go darker.

The benefits to indoor tanning (aside from better control) is that you'll go into spring/summer with a decent tan already established, and they say the routine UV exposure improves your overall mood during the winter months.

Well, I use California Tan "Almond spice" or "heat Wave" factor 12 ( I think) but let me tell you a little story about burning sensation. When I'm rubbing it on, it feels like I'm rubbing Chilli peppers all over me! 30 min Tan session, twice a week does for me.

Tanning in tanning beds is bullshit. The UVA rays will not likely burn you, but they WILL AGE YOU FASTER. This is coming straight from a dermatologist. I tanned in these beds exclusively for awhile and began devloping wrinkles under my eyelids, which have thankfully been repaired using creams and such....I would recommend finding a fantasytan.com outfit near you and get yourself a great tan that is far healthier for your skin than the sun.
