People that TAN during winter via SUNBED :-)

(For those of you that might be new to this, tanning is great, chicks dig that... it's a relatively painless process for great results... this thread should hopefully help...)

I'm just going to start this season so I need some tips...

1) Which brand of sunbed tanning lotion can you recommend? as it's critical and I can't waste money on b$...
2) Also tanning dries up your skin, what do you do about that? Any moisturizers?

I'm just going to start this winter, and I want to do it right...
3) How should I start? Timing per sessions and number of sessions? (I tan like an avg person)
(I think it's critical to start out right to get a nice lasting tan! - please tell us any tips...

Any information tips, tricks, links and suggestions are much appreciated by me and fellow members ;-)

Thank you...

uhhh... I just deal with it. who needs a tan in the wintertime anyway? I dont want to be looking like a lobster year round, just during the summertime. in any case, I have naturally golden skin

usually the ppl working there can help you out with all these quesstions (of course they may be biased and try pushing products on you). i started off just lying in the tanning bed for 10mins the first time, 15mins second time, now im just doin 20mins at like one month intervals. works for me.

I personally use Cote d'Azur tanning lotion which is approved by the salon. It is kind of pricey but it is well worth it.

I moisturize my skin by using baby oil, when you get out of the shower and your skin is still wet, rub baby oil on your entire body, it actually locks in the natural moisture in your skin, then dry off with the towel.

As per timing per session, that would depend on the tanning bed. Each of them have different amounts of wattage. To start I would try half of the maximum timing and go back in about 3 days. If you didn't burn, go up on the timer. I usually go to the tanning bed about twice a week to retain my tan.

Have fun!

I'm not going to bother quoting every question so ill just clump it all together. The lotion is not completely critical and 90% of the ingrdients are just a hoax | melanin, vitamins, minerals etc .. all do fuck all as they don't absorb dermally (in any respectable %) - just get one that is cheaper and has some good oils & moisturizers. The safer the lotion (hypotherically) the worse you will tan. You need to let enough UV rays in to damage the dna under your skin , hence creating a influx of melanin VIA melanocytes VIA a-MSH from the hypothalmus. So don't buy the whole ' this one cots $40 more because its safer etc..

The biggest difference in the lotions is the tingle factor, i think its niacin extract but ive enver checked, aggrivates the skin so again (hypothetrically) more blood = more melanin, i dont buy it but some people think it feels more like tis working. Use moisturizers on you skin before and after, it will help prevent burns, skin damage and prolong the tan VIA slower dead cell turnover = more melanin kept. Your body natully produces a acid on the skins surface after tanning that helps the process so dont shower a hour before or after.

Timing is up to you, everyone is different - just start at 5min--8min --10min etc .. so you don't burn. More is not always better, you can keep at the same time and get progressibvly darker to a degree. Thats all i have the energy to type right now, there is a couple posts already made, so try a search.

If you don't want to risk skin cancer and UV exposure than you can always be like me and simply get a potent subcutaneous injectable synthetic variant of the Alpha-Melanocyte-Stimulating hormone analogue [Nle4Dphe7] and mainline that IV for a couple weeks.

You will just be another flake and bake phony. With a tan that screams... LOOK I USE A TANNING BED!!

Also InGearX, make sure to PM a user by the name of "HappyScrappy".

If you've ever seen his pics on the site you will realize that that broly is serious about tanning. He is a walking melanin factory.

TRY AND USE A MEDIUM PRESSURE BED. IT WILL COST MORE BUT IT HAS A HIGHER RATIO OF UVA TO UVB RAYS. UVB WILL BURN YOU. UVA WILL TAN YOU. MEDIUM PRESSURE BEDS ARE USUALLY VHR BEDS WITH ABOUT 98% UVA RAYS. ONCE YOUR BASE TAN IS ESTABLISHED, YOU PROBABLY WILL ONLY NEED ONE OR TWO TANS PER WEEK FOR MAINTENANCE. THE TANNING PROCESS IN VHR BEDS TAKES UP TO 12 HOURS SO WHEN YOU GET OUT OF THE BED YOU MAY NOT LOOK LIKE YOU TANNED ANY BUT LATER ON, YOU WILL.

AS FAR AS LOTIONS GO, THERE ARE MANY GOOD ONES OUT THERE. THEY ARE EXPENSIVE FOR A REASON. MOST HAVE MOISTURIZERS AND SHIT THAT WILL ACTUALLY HELP YOUR SKIN. I DONT LIKE SHIT WITH TINGLE IN IT BUT YOU MAY. JUST GET SOME SAMPLES AND FIND OUT WHAT YOU LIKE AND WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU.

A FRIEND OF MINE OWNS A TANNING SALON SO HE WANTED ME TO GET CERTIFIED WITH HIM INCASE HE EVER NEEDED HELP. THERE REALLY IS A LOT MORE TO IT BUT THIS IS THE GIST OF IT. HOPE IT HELPED.

AND DONT WORRY ABOUT PEOPLE SAYING YOU HAVE A FAKE TAN AND STUPID SHIT LIKE THAT. HOW CAN IT BE FAKE WHEN ITS THE SAME TYPE OF RAYS THAT COME FROM THE SUN. ITS ALL UV RADIATION SO TELL THEM TO GO FUCK THEMSELVES. A TAN IS A TAN.
