Peeps who've used Retin-A.

Thought about Accutane?

It's pretty much the only thing that works..for 99% of the people who use it.

I used it, and it worked.....but mind the side effects. It's nasty, NASTY shit. Yeah, it works. But if I had to go back and do it again....well, that's a whole story in of itself. Mark my words, within the next ten years, the FDA will pull it off the market.

I still get mild breakouts, and of all the OTC stuff out there, I found the benzoyl peroxide works the best.

Never tried it myself, but I've heard nothing but good stuff about Proactiv.

I tried proactiv and accutane a few years ago. Proactive had almost no effect on me, and was also a ton of work (way too many steps, IMO). The Accutane worked pretty well and had almost no side effects, other than extremely dry skin. I have heard the horror stories about Accutane side effects and have to wonder why it didn't bother me at all. Either way, I don't think you can make a judgement on its side effects until you try it out.

Yeah, Accutane apparently has some weird ass sides to it. I'm not really willing to give that a try unless it's a last resort. And it's not like mine is that severe.

thanks for completely ignoring my post, assnostril. It only has those side effects for some people. As I said, I am a living example of someone who had ZERO of the "psycho" side effects. But definitely try the other stuff first and see what those results are. Good luck maing.

Thanks for your input. :)

I was on retin-A for a long time and it had its ups and downs but never really got rid of my acne. Everytime it would get worse like your saying the doc would just say that is how it works. I guess it gets worse and then better or some BS like that. I ain't much help since I've used everything and still have acne.

Hmm. Interesting.

man I hated pimples
I tried everything
Sea Breeze
clearasel
ProActiv (biggest waste of money) you can get the same shit from clearasel and seabreeze and a good face wash

The only thing for me that works and prevents pimples is
a pil called DOXYCYCLINE
with retin A at night
and this stuff called Duac during the day
also a Clenia face wash

it takes like a month to see results but my face is very clear now
I used to wake up and have like 3 new pimples a day

now i get one like once every 2 weeks

pimples fucken suck man!
go see your dermatoligists
or even your regular doctor and ask for Doxycycline 2 pills a day

I used retin-a gel for 6months and it cleared up my acne and i stopped using it and a lot of the acne came back and now i have rosacea too from it. My skin is worse now than before using retin-a.
