peel 'n stick floor tile removal question:

i had some hideously ugly '80's vinyl floor tile over the original heart-of-pine floors in my house. after heating them with a torch they popped right off but left most of the stickly glue behind.

what can be used to remove the glue off the original floor after the peel 'n stick tile had been taken up?

is some some kind of solvent or release agent for this sticky shiot?

or do i need to grind it off with sandpaper and a floor sander?

oh the misery of trying to sandpaper by hand that mess
fug that.
floor sander then stain the flooring, which you woulda done either way

laquor thinner will dissolve the glue...but 500 sq ft of those fumes would not be pretty....

Rent a floor sander or hire someone (recommended)

That'll ,take the glue off

Taking it off by hand and trying to restore them the cheap route will not be worth the headache, hard work, and savings
