Anyone ever have this happen? If so how long did it take to heal/ rehab befor back to normal. Another number one main reason way warm up is so important!!

i've had a pec minor strain.

let it heal. and make sure you don't do whatever u did to fuck it up again :)

For me that meant fixing my benching form. and getting posture right.

Sounds nasty.

Did you go to the Doc yet?

went to the ER right after, they gave me 800mg ibuprofen and Vicodin going to my Doc on Friday. ER doc said not to lift for 4 to six weeks, Was wondering if I could work my lower body while off? What do you think?

It is my understanding when sustaining an injury/trama to the pecs that you may perform any lifts that do not involve the pec muscles at all.

I'm not sure squatting would be ok or not... depends on your ROM probably.

Leg press, lunges, step ups, ect seem like they'd be ok.

Take some time off let it heal before you go and get your blood pressure up in the gym and possibly delay the healing process by blowing out some blood cells that are trying to clot.

Just what I was thinking. Its kind off fucked up when I look at myself,, one side(R) is three times bigger then my left,, must be holding water. Really stiff. bics. is blowen up as well. May just do a little cadio for a while longer then I did. Going to be hard not picking up the steel in the gym I will tell you that!!!!!

I completley ruptured my pec a few years ago, it took nearly a year of rehab after surgery to get into a hard weight training program again.
