Paxil and sexual sides

most of the sexual sides are the cause of paranoia. If you didn't know about them, didn't worry about them, then you most likely wouldn't have them.

Paxil!

I took Paxil for about 2 months it zapped my libido alot and made me tired all the time but made me turn from minute man into hour man! lol You can go forever on the stuff! I 'm talking doggy style for 15 mins straight without feeling much lol! But I didnt like all the other sides so I did some natural remedy research and got off the paxil. I changed my eating habits took St Johns Wort, a good multi vitamin, a high B complex and a weekly B 12 injection and I have never felt better. Though I am back to my usually minute man persona it's ok because my wife goes quicker than I do!

These side-effects are very real, and there's no denying that. True, some may cause less/different ones. They aren't definitely something you can not just mentally block out.

25mg of Paxil is actually above the suggest starting dosage.

Lots of people use Wellbutrin to combat the sexual dysfunction while on ssri's. Ask your doc about adding this med to your paxil.

And if you're not on an ssri, taking Wellbutrin alone can definitely increase libido and intensity of orgasm.

I was also on Paxil for about 6 years, and I can tell you it pretty much ruined my sex life. You can only have sex so many times without breaking one off, before you kinda tired of sex. It gets extremely frusturating. It has definately put a strain on my relationship with my gf too. I have to be pretty damn turned on to bust a nut nowadays.

Adding another anti-depressant only causes more side-effects. I can't wait to see the long term effects of these medications. Wellbutrin has been known to cause horrible anxiety in those prone. I know it did to me.

Don't dismiss it so quickly, its a very well established practice in psychiatry to use Wellbutrin for this purpose. Some docs even feel this is its only productive use. It is true that high doses of Wellbutrin can cause anxiety but you just have to start low and titrate up until you achieve the effect you want (restoration of libido/orgasm). If anxiety is a problem, decrease the dosage.
