Partial Deadlift PR

WalkingBeast

Elite Dementor

Hey everyone. Just wanted to post up a small PR I hit on the partial deads. I got 565 off the lowest setting in the power rack(a 10lb PR). Had to scream that shit out haha. Here the rest of the routine I did for back:

(5-6 hours)
Partial Deadlifts: (Done offf power rack at lowest setting)

135x15
225x8
315x1
455x1
515x1
545x1
565x1 (10lb PR)
585 (fail)
570 (fail)

Partial Beast Lifts: (A deadlift with the bar behind the legs, Off of lowest setting in power rack)

585x1
635x1
700 (failed)
700 (failed, a few inches up and strap gave out)
675x1 (weak, 730 is my best)

Then dumbell rows: (reps done slower then usual)
150'sx20
150'sx15
120'sx15

Chin-ups:
BWx17
BWx23

Lastly dumbell shrugs:
100'sx15+ (didnt count reps)

Less volume then usual, but still got a nice workout. Only had one Speed Stack also. Weighed in at 187 with no food and clothes.

Nice job...

20 sets in 5 hours is a set every 15 minutes.

20 sets in 6 hours is a set every 18 minutes.

I'd think that I could do 20 sets for back in an hour to hour and twenty minutes...and go home to start growing ASAP.

bro you should go the whole hog & move your bed into the gym.

Lots of rest to focus on maxing...Just the way I like to train

well congrats on the prs.......... but someone told me when i got serious about the iron game along time ago told me this.

"You don't come in here and do what you like, you do what works best, no in betweens!!!"

and here is fact walking beast......... after an hour and a half....tops..... your body goes catabolic. that means muscle waisting. its where your glycogen levels are so far down that your body 'catabolizes" or "burn' up your muscles for the energy. sucks huh.......... well after 5-6 hours in the gym.......... you have almost completely neglected your effort of going in the gym.

we just want you to get better.

so unless your jacked up on a shitload of steriods, continuing at this pace will not prove fruitful. i just want you to suceed. so take my comments however you want to. no foul language is intended here.

beast, you're a MONSTER! CONGRATS on the PR bro! Keep training hard my brother, with your work ethic you are GOING TO succeed!!

I would consider what Exodus said bro, but then again, train how you are until it (and IF it) stops working for you....keep training HARD bro:mad:

All due respect X, but if beast is resting 15 minutes between sets I don't think he's burning his gycogen levels down to nothing!

well..... after a couple of hours not eating....your bodycan tap into catabolic.... so he said he was on no food. then doing anykind of a workout is catabolic...... belive me.... with no food after an hour even with 15 minute rest intervals.....he was the definition of catabolic.

I'm not sure how much the whole 'cataboc state this' and 'anabolic state taht' really matter. I mean.. my workouts are consistently 2 hours plus, and event day usually lasts at least 5, and I have been making steady progress for a LONG time now, as have many others who train this way.

Granted, 5 hours is a long time to have every workout, but I think it is the overall training/nutrition/rest picture that really matters.

ThanX Tweakle! The 150's have gotten real light, wish I knew a way to add another 50+ onto them. Still feel them though. ThanX brother!!

I might agree if I wasnt seeing results. Seems theres alot of theories out there and most of them dont seem worth a shit to me. Id rather just experiment and find what works for me. I beleive somethings can be somewhat universal, but as far as most theories go...Ive heard the exact opposite theory, sounded even better worded then what your presenting. Everyone is an expert. I experiment continuously but never proclaim myself to be some expert or guru like I see alot of others. Im sure someone will listen though.

I agree...Obviously :D

uh 150s are LIGHT?! damn, please tell me you're putting some body drive into getting those weights up.. anything over 130 I can't even get moving without a little momentum.

I used to drive my body into them alot. Now Im able to do them pretty strict. Granted some reps I use body drive. But to be able to get 20+ reps from the floor to my chest, actually slamming into my chest, Id say theyve gotten pretty light. The heaviest Ive gotten to try were the 160's which I still got 17 with. Im confident I could rep the 200's, but may never get to try them. hahaha They were also done off of a bench, which makes it harder to use body drive IMO. ThanX bro!!!

You've got a fucking strong back and arms bro.

Now, about those legs.... ;)

:FRlol: :FRlol: :FRlol: ThanX bro! My legs seem quite strong, just small as fuck. haha Can still leg press 1200lbs for reps though. For whatever its worth.

I heard that squats are a good assistance exercise to help boost your strength in the important lifts like the leg press and tibia raise. :p

Beast would be foolish to change the way that he trains since he gets stronger each and every workout. The end justifies the means. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

ThanX brother!!!! When are you deadlifting again?

Saturday my brother!! I trained chest today, and taking a few days off to enjoy the holiday with some family members. Gonna hit those deads on Saturday, nice and fresh, and with all that energy saved up from the pounds of food I'm gonna eat!! I want to step on the scale and break into the 180lb club too!
I'm gonna nail that 365 bro, and I want MORE THAN ONE REP TOO!!

Awesome brother!!!!!!!!! Focus on one rep first, then you might just want another one!! I know I have to prepare in my mind, how many reps Im going to do before a set. For 1RM's its important to put everything into that one rep, without the distraction of a second one. JMO Either way Im sure youll crush that shit!!!!

Thanks brother! I KNOW I can nail one rep, and am pretty sure I could get more if my form is flawless. I don't know if you have the same problem, but my form tends to want to go bad if the weight is real heavy like that.
Either way, I am concentrating on perfect form and HEAVY WEIGHT! I got this! Thanks for all the support bro!!
