My First PR In Over 5 Months (570lb Partial Deadlift)

The only one that matters anyway, I hit some curling PR's, but what really matters is the deadlift and bench PR's. I injured my back on 12-1-03 doing a beast lift off the floor with 600lbs. Now that my back is feeling better, and Im more furious then ever to get back, I managed to pull 570 off the rack, on the lowest setting. I did 10 sets of back work before even starting deadlifts, but I still pushed myself to exceed my best. This was a partial deadlift on the lowest setting on the power rack. I screamed that shit up and locked it out. It got a little ugly since my upper back was pretty fatigued from the previous sets. I can tell I have alot more in me in the coming weeks. I expect to hit 585 (6 plates a side) very soon now. When I hit 660 off the rack, I estimate I should be good for a 600lb deadlift off the floor. My rack dead and floor dead are 60lb apart at the moment, but it does fluctuate. At one point they were only 30lbs apart, when I hit 500 off the floor, but I increased the rack deads real rapidly after that. So it may be sooner. Im hungry for strength now. ThanX for all the support!!

fuck yeah Beast!! Good shit...you're deads are sick even after an injury bro. When you get back up to your max, you need to videotape that shit! Much praise bro.

ThanX brother!! 570 off the rack is my max. haha Its a 5lb PR. I havent been doing them off the floor in a while, mainly to give the injury time to heal. Also cuz Id like to get the pulls off the rack in the 600's before going back to the floor again. ThanX again brother!!

Just don't push too much and screw the back up again

ThanX brother!! Thats the last thing I want! I dont feel restricted in my lifting anymore, but at the same time I dont want to do too many max attempts in a row. ThanX again!!

gj homes ... you pulling from the floor again or is your back not 100% up for it yet?

ThanX brother!! Im sure I could pull from the floor now, but still want to give my back some recovery time. The main reason Im not pulling from the floor now is because I want to plateau on rack deads first, then hit the floor. Thats how Ive made my best strength gains. There was a 60lb difference from the floor to the rack last I tested, but it fluctuates. When I first pulled 500lbs off the floor, I believe it was only a 35lb difference from rack to floor. Assuming it has stayed at a 60lb difference I would subtract 60 from my rack pull to get my estimated deadlift strength. Im going for 660 so I can hit 600 off the floor. I may try floor pulls sooner if I plateau before then. ThanX again!!
