Parrafin Wax Treatments

Has anyone ever gotten parrafin wax treatments on their hands? If so, what was it like? Did it soften your hands a considerable amount? Was it worth it?

I am thinking about getting a parrafin treatment on my hands because I recently developed calluses on my hands from lifting without gloves. The calluses on one of my hands aren't as hard and rough as the other hand but still. I thought perhaps these treatments would soften my calluses. I've never had calluses before and I just can't stand them.

They feel great for a few hours afterwards but not better than a good lotion IMO. They won't remove calluses. It's the oil in the wax that makes your hands feel so soft afterwards. The heat feels great, especially on sore joints. I've had it done in a salon, and both my mother and mother-in-law have the home parafin kits so I've used them there. I don't think it's worth the money in the salon and it is messy at home, the wax will drip somewhere for sure.
