Parlodel (Bromocriptine Mesylate)
Some athletes are using Parlodel to increase the endogenous production of both growth hormone and testosterone. Apparently bromocriptine reduces serum prolactin concentrations by inhibiting release of prolactin from the anterior pituitary gland. This inhibitory effect is likely a result of a direct effect on the pituitary, and perhaps an indirect effect mediated by the stimulation of post-synaptic dopamine receptors in the hypothalamus, leading to a release of a prolactin inhibitory factor through a complicated catecholamine pathway. The reduction in serum prolactin results in an increase in both growth hormone( in those with normal growth hormone levels) and in serum testosterone( secondary to increased levels of luteinizing hormone). It's possible that bromocriptine may also have a direct effect on the testes.
One study found that inhibiting prolactin with bromocriptine resulted in an increased dihydrotestosterone response to injections of human chorionic gonadotropin(HCG). In this study the testosterone responses to gonadotropin were not significantly different in normal prolactin and suppressed prolactin cycles.

What the fuck, prolactin gyno, this is a farce. bromocriptine will not do anything for gyno so i have no idea what your friend is talking about. fina causing gyno is extremely rare if it even occurs. take your karma back. bromocriptine may cause gh release in normal individuals as to what extent, I do not know. bromocriptine is a wonderful drug but not for said purposes. Boris, if you want some info on the drug, post a reply and I will get back to you
