it is all political. oxycodone has been a schedule 2 drug since the controlled substance act of 1970. everyone knows it is a highly addictive opiod. mg per mg half as potent s morphine with much better oral bioavailability.(i am a recovered junkie\criminal who once had a 100mg aday diuidid habit. = to 1000mg oxycodone.) to make a point, xanax is infinitely more addictive than oxy and it was assigned a schedule 4. you can DIE comin off xanax you wont die comin off oxy. stupid ass fucking witch hunts. but what do you expect from a country that was founded by a bunch of religious zealots. look at the perception of steroids. reefer madness revisited. its gonna get worse.

Yeah, try kicking a pain killer addicition (opiate withdrawal -- reportedly the worst and places ppl at risk of suicide)! All that shit, hydrocodone (Norco), Oxycontin, is opiates, a derivative of opium just like morphine and heroine. Oxycontin is supposed to be taken every 12 hours, extended release, but despite warnings to the contrary, ppl chew them and crush them to get the immediate high. "Hillbilly heroine" -- ppl allegedly crushing them and snorting.

I don't know how a drug company could be fined for failing to state warnings of the obvious.

I had scrips for oxycodone & hydrocodone and never got formed a habit. Scrips ran out, never touched them again. Maybe if I would have been stupid enough to put them up my nose I would be addicted...

The Oxycodone I'm taking says on the bottle to take 1-2 every 4-5 hours.
