Oprah is a racist

billfred said:
Good point - she is way to smart to be subject to racial prejudice. Yet I believe she chose to endorse Oboma because of his race. So what does that make it????

Pride

She had to fight her whole life to get respect. Being a woman and not only a woman, but a black woman, she had to fight harder than the next guy. She relates to Obama's struggle to get to where he is today. She maybe has pride in his accomplishments?!
Just a guess, but I don't believe she has one racist bone in her body.

it should have nothing to do with race.

the president should be the candidate who best represents the people. though we all know it does not work that way all the time..

you are making it seem like obama should win simply so we have a minority president.

Redshirt27se - U are in my IGNORE LIST, soo please your comments to my Post are not needed or wanted sorry

racism will never end.

the wide spread black pride, along side the categorizing of all white pride as racism will just make it go on forever....

just because you don't want to read them, doesn't mean that they aren't legitimate, and that others don't care to see them. but go ahead and add me to your ignore list. it makes me feel nice knowing i've bothered someone that much.

I do think the US needs a black prez, but before that, i think the US needs a woman prez. :-)

Point taken and i agree with you on that, it is just a shame that for the first time a Woman and a Black man are both running at the sametime

I do believe America will have a Woman president some day but until that happens, Oprah will do what she can to represent women on her show and way of life, BUT right now the country needs A New Voice someone to really bring that WIDE divisions on race together

Pride in her race - still does not make it anything other than racist.
I guess it comes down to how you view the term racist.
I view it as a hateful term. Like I said, I don't believe she is a hateful person.
You can call her Bias maybe, but not racist

I might be wrong - but I think America will have a black president before they have a woman president. That comes from my days in business - women hate to be bossed around by other women. Hence, women tend not to vote for women yet blacks will almost always vote for blacks.

I like her personality but why did she wait for a black candidate to finally endorse a someone for president?? Is it because of his policies?

As a black she has a personal interest in seeing a black president. I don't think that is racist. There has never been a black president and she must feel she can kind of make history.

As far as his policies, I think she is probably in line with most of them.

Let's put it this way: do you think she would endorse a conservative black like me? Hell no. She, just like most liberal blacks hate Clarence Thomas because of his conservatism even though he is black and a Supreme Court Justice.

Hmmm.. interesting point. You think racial bias is different from racism?

You think racist defines purely hate for another race?
