Oprah is a racist

So what separates Obama from any other Democratic candidate??

I'll answer that.

First, he has no experience that is a stumbling block. Hillary has a lot of baggage. John Edwards is boring and just doesn't connect. No other candidate is connecting with people in a real meaningful way. Obama is offering people something no other candidate - Republican or Democrat - is offering. He's offering them an emotional "feel good" message of hope, hence the title of his book "The Audacity of Hope." He is trying to ride the wave of John F. Kennedy, camelot is beautiful type of campaign. The color of his skin is not really an obstacle because the only people who would not vote for him on account of his being black wouldn't vote for a Democrat anyway. Some of the people who would vote for him because he is black wouldn't vote for him if he were a Republican.

None of this is to say I will vote for him or support him. I'm also not saying Oprah isn't a racist, but don't think she's supporting Obama on the basis of race alone. I think Oprah is supporting him because of his message. She didn't endorse Alan Keyes and she didn't endorse fat ass Al Sharpton either. She likes Obama's feel good message.

You argue my point better than I do. Every reason you have given for her endorsement points to his race.

ok, even if it does point to race, that still does not make her a racist?

I hear some of what you are saying but Oprah has been around for a long time and there has been many democrats saying a lot of the same things that Oboma has. Maybe it is just the first black candidate that is more mid-stream? But that brings me back to my point - there have been many Democrats that have said a lot of the same things Obama is - but did not get her nod. Yeah she is smart enough not to throw in with some of the crackpots but she still failed to endorse many smart white democrats.

WHO CARES if it points to race, shouldn't America not have a black president at some point or another, after all it is a free country and I truly believe his the Man to break this WIDE division you guys have in your country when it comes to RACE together

Good point - she is way to smart to be subject to racial prejudice. Yet I believe she chose to endorse Oboma because of his race. So what does that make it????

it should have nothing to do with race.

the president should be the candidate who best represents the people. though we all know it does not work that way all the time..

you are making it seem like obama should win simply so we have a minority president.
