Well I started at 38% - my goal is 10-12% ( going to Vegas in November )- but its all about the food - currently I am eating 1900 cals a day split into 5 meals a day ( about every 3 hours ) 45%P 35%C 20%F. Training 5 days a week, 3 days weights followed by cardio - the other 2 days just cardio. I have been getting lean muscle loss too, unfortunately a very fine balance, but worth trying to get it right. Get into a routine you will be fine.. All the best.
