On your cheat day...

how much do you cheat? Do you have a dessert or something rich at one meal, or do you just go crazy that day and eat junk all day long at every meal and snack?
 
i dont have a cheat day. then again, i dont crave shit all the time either so I can eat clean and not think about. So when i do want something nummy, I just eat it.
 
I give myself 1hr 1 day a week to endulge... get it out of my system and then look forward to next week. LOL

Nah... usually just have what I've been craving. There is only so much you can put down in one hour. So if I want pizza and icecream then I have it. Then i end up in a carb induced coma for the next 3 hours. LOL

I had a cousin who would eat sticks of butter and tubes of toothpaste. She is BEAUTIFUL and only weighs about 95lbs, though, so maybe I should take up a butter and toothpaste only diet.
 
I go nuts. . .all day. . .and I usually cap it by blowing through a whole bag of Twisted Cheetos and chasing them with a few Budweisers. . .mmmm, mmmm, mmmm!

I have three bad meals on one cheat day along with three regular meals. Usually pizza, chocolate chip cookies or some kind of blizzard but for some reason I'll always have a proper serving of strawberry crepes with whipped cream. Vury tasty.

Guys can get away with this. If I ate that much in one day, I most likely would negate everything positive I had done all week.

I also have a fast metabolism and a strenous job when it isn't raining that keeps me slim. One meal won't hurt ya in fact it might throw your body a loop. Whenever I have a cheat meal I start sweating after and usually take a power nap. Then I just make sure to have a meal with no carbs after I wake up.

Wow. Good tip! I will try eating a meal with no carbs after.
 
heather, try doing two carb up meals a week. It will seriously shock your body and you will notice the difference

Well, I have been a bad girl recently because I sprained my wrist and stopped training and eating the way I should. I need to totally get back on track.

2 carb up meals, huh? like three or four days apart?

assign a day... say carb up on Monday's and Thursday's. Have one meal a day that is assigned to a carb up. (now this is not considered a cheat meal) Not sure what it is that you crave. I guarantee you will feel like a million bucks after that one meal. The Hulk will have nothing on you. LOL

probably when you start to lose your sanity. Or when your mouth starts watering when driving by a resturant and your stomach is growling.

Also even though your wrist is sprained you can still do cardio and train your lower body.

Yeah, I just cant hold on to the rails. I need to get my chubby butt back in the gym. pronto!

I doubt ur chubbiness. I don't jog on the treadmill I mainly use the elliptical or the bike with the grips by the seat and wear a hoodie and sweats even on a hot day ad start pedaling my ass off.

As a matter of fact I got to get my ass back in there. I've put on 25lbs since friday!!! SERIOUSLY

Post competition rebound. I have to go a fe days with some low carbs before my ankles and knees statr swelling like a pregnant lady.
 
I don't think I've eaten unclean in about 2 years. I don't think i've deviated from my needed calorie intake in that day by much for than a hundred. it's more of a mental block that won't let me. i know i have disordered eating. I would never let myself get too skinny again but I fear it may be holding me back from getting as big as I want.

I'm going to Pennsylvania in a week and a half and the whole time i'm there i'm going to "attempt" to not even think about it. I think it will help me big time, if i accomplish it.

I had a binge eating disorder from cheat days a few years ago. I'd eat pretty much everything I could til I couldn't bend at the waste without wanting to puke. I'd just keep eating and it wouldn't even be fun anymore.
Standard was a pizza, a couple pints of ben & jerry's, a small pie or cake, a box of toaster stroodles, and about half a bag of oreo's and milk. I'd vary it a little but this was the quantity and those were pretty much the staple items of my binges.
I'd usually do this in the afternoons once a week on my days off. I'd still eat a normal dinner after all that too. Now I don't diet at all really, just all in moderation and work out enough to stay in ok shape. I usually pretty tired after work though to work out and my back and legs are fucked up too so I just say fuck it usually.

I put on 43 pounds by the Wednesday after my first show a couple of years ago.

Wow, that seems impossible. Do girls bloat up like that after a show? Is lots of it water? One thing that I don't like about shows is tht the athletes look dehydrated and unhealthy to me. When girls have those knots on the fronts of their hips, right in the groin region, it freaks me out a little. I think those are the lymph nodes, rihgt? Anyway, how could one put on that much weight so quickly? How quickly does it come back off?

A huge amount of it is water. I went from 211 on-stage Saturday to 254 the Wednesday after the show. About 10 days later I dropped the water and was back down to 245'ish. You also have to realize the weight you carry on-stage is one of extremely low bodyfat and water levels. I will typically lose 10-13 pounds of water before a show. Your body also doesn't want to stay at that low of a bodyfat so the rebound can be quite pronounced if you binge after a show and don't control it within a few days.

You're quite welcome! It is definitely crazy to experience that kind of weight gain. It makes you skin and joints hurt like hell. I will never do that again.
