Old Injury....Need some Input.

Hey Fellas,

Sorry this is long-winded, but I want to go into as much detail as possible.

So Im sure most of you had to deal with an injury at one time. I never went to a physician about this, cause frankly Im not sure what they can tell me. I will try and explain it the best I can. It all started when I used to arm wrestle. No I didn't do it professionally, just a bunch of us guys messing around testing our manhood. I know...stupid is...as stupid does right? Well then I would notice when playing in my softball league that my arm would start killing me after throwing in a few balls from the outfield. Its hard to explain exactly where the pain is...sometimes in my elbow, other times on the backside by my tricep, but yet it doesn't feel like it was the muscle itself that hurt. I thought maybe it was from not warming up, so I set aside 30 minutes before a game of throwing easy throws to warm up. But still didn't make a difference. That was years ago. I am now 27 and I gave up playing and arm wrestling thinking it would help.

I can go months without a problem but then if I pickup a football or anything and throw it...WOW it just kills. Then it can bother me for weeks afterwards. It only bothers me at the gym if I recently injured it from something else. Just lifting weights doesn't irritate it. It appears to be the "jerky" motion of throwing a ball or anything that injures it and it gets injured easier now than in the past.

Seems like the same injury of throwing out your arm like a lot of people experience from time to time...but damn, it happens SO easily to me.

So I have a few questions:

1) The obvious one, has anyone heard of such a thing? Is there something I can do for it?

2) Im starting my first cycle of Test-E soon, will this affect it? Will it feel better while I am on the cycle?

3) Am I just screwed and have to live with it?

If you have had this problem for a long time...then common sense should tell you to go see a doctor my friend...that will be the BEST thing you can do for it...we cant asses what you have...could be a ligament or a tendon...hard to say

Yes .... probably at an attachment site.

Try finding a Doc that does prolotherapy in your area.
Use Google.
These Docs know how to probe into the structure and find the injury
hot spots. Then they can treat them.

how long between the time you armwrestled and softball? armwrestling bone injuries accure more in the bone in your upper arm. i have 2 friends that are pros and it could be as minor as a type of splint or a unhealed fracture. IF its not a tendon.

Good info. I never even heard of prolotherapy before now. I did some research and I like what I read. Looks promising. I sent an email to contact a local doctor and await word back.

To answer other questions...a lot of times we would settle arguments with an arm wrestling match before a game. I remember one match that took forever, me and this other guy weren't budging. We ended up calling it a draw, but that was about the last time I arm wrestled. I remember that I couldn't finish the game that day cause my arm hurt so freakin bad. Yea stupid...I know. That was at least 6-7 years ago. I thought if I stopped and with proper training that it would heal. Obviously not.

armwrestling the tendon's are tight and throwing a basball they're loose so if u do both u need to warm up alot and try not to throw as hard as u can for a week or so hold yourself back... just a little tip and it helps not to armwrestle while your playing ball or vice versa
