Okay, This Pissed Me Off

Normally I don't pat attention to all the stupid stuff people do in the gym. I've seen too much of it to care. If you want to use an EZ curl bar to do bench presses while wiggling your toes, be my guest. But today I was in a hurry and needed to get my workout done with no derailments.

So this moron is using the one decline bench to do INCLINE dumbell presses. Alright, he doesn;t know any better. But he's doing it IN THE SQUAT RACK! I waited for 5 minutes and finally had to confront him. "Dude, can you do that OUTSIDE the squat rack? " The prick actually said he only had 2 more sets left. I wasn't in the mood to argue.

Are some people that stupid or do they actually WANT to be doushebags?
 
i know the feeling man. there are only a few people that use the squat rack to actually do squats. most of the guys at my gym walk around on sticks with their chests puffed out. it's funny when people put weight on to bench press and don't even go half way down. that used to steam me but i got over it quickly once i saw people swinging from the fucking chin up bar. lol my gym is a zoo sometimes, i have to laugh to keep from making someone cry. :)

well....range of motion is sometimes substituted with the desire to lift heavier...much heavier...form is very important, but it's not everything.

Arnold talked about "cheating" in bodybuilding a very long time ago as not always being a bad thing...I believe sometimes cheating to lift heavier weights can take you to a whole new level of gains, if it is done within limits and not used to substitute 'proper form" and over-used.

I think i remember seeing this in his book or on the Pumping iron Dvd. That sounds good but this guy didnt look like he was using good form. I use very strict form when i do my workouts and i am always observing others to see how they are doing in the gym. When i do squats i damn near touch my ass to the floor it feels like and i see other people only going 1/4 of the way down.
 
I see that stuff all the time. I see guys in the gym that are fat and soft and they do the same exercises wrong everytime. I give them credit for trying as they are there all the time but they havent a clue about form. There is one guy at the gym, mid 40s or so and he does tricep pulldowns as fast as he can, kinda like when I was in school and trying to break the sit up record. I mean ZERO form and wrong stance everything. Bad form is a result of the arrogance of thinking you know everything. I read and have personal trainer friends that would and do correct me when I screw up or cheat but I watch the big guys and if I see a new exercise, I take note and research the correct form and begin.

Nobody but me and another guy squats at the gym I go too. It is like it is illegal or something.;)
 
At the gym yesterday I saw this scrawny dumbass that was doing hang clings and he was doing them with the worst form ever, it was rediculous. He tells his buddy to come try them then his friend says thats too much weight and takes some off. The guy goes nah man your doing it wrong you gotta do it like this. Then he does one and messes up his back, he drops the weight falls to the floor moaning in agonizing pain. He had to have his friend help him out of the gym. I didn't feel sorry for him one bit, in fact I was kinda happy.

Only thing i'm sorry about is the fact I didn't have a camera to catch it on video for everyone to see.
 
If I see some one in the rack not doing squats,dl,s or some big ass shrugs I go right oner and tell them to get the fuck out of the rack even if I don't even need it. Its how I am and always will be. I am a hufe fish in my little girly gym.

Ok...here is a giggle...guy at my gym throws up 315 on the bar..at 200lbs or less I'm impressed I'm barely deadlifting 315 for reps and those are painful reps...LITERALLY Moved his hips OUT as SOOON as his knee bent she SHOT back up..Total bar movement did NOT exceed 12 inches in a deadlift...as fast as he possibly could. Then he continued to teach his buddy how to do stiff leg dead lifts..he didn't get hurt..yet...

It bugs me a little..Girls look at the 180 lb guy doing curls with 60 lb dumbells and me at 250lbs using 30s and 40's and at the VERY end...like...15lbs and almost crying...face red with a 15 lb weight in my hand..

I'm 200 lbs and I do curls with 90 lb dumbells :p

Here is what pisses me more than lack of gym etiquette. I rarely get into a situation when I'm training alone, that I cant make & rack the last rep. The other day I was doing seated dumbbell curls next to a flat bench press where this guys pumping out 3 plates a side but then burns out on his last rep. So I jump up to pull the bar off the bastards neck almost & rack it up with him. You know, this prick didnt even have the decency to thank me. He just gets up & walks off to chat with his mates. Next time it will be me just walking off as he chokes!
 
This is exactly why I no longer go to the "GYM"! I have a home gym that accommadates ME. I don't wait in line, I don't have to smell some faggots ass or fart juice in his pants when he walks by, and I especially don't have to look at all the 150lb twinks, 400lb fat tub of lard Weebles, or scabby spandex sluts taking up my air space.

People are going to behave like cracked out spider monkeys unless the facility personnel, i.e.,employees, or the 165lb "personal trainers" who work there, tell them otherwise. THEY are too busy flirting or trying to act like they know what they are doing to give a shit. Since I don't need anymore assault charges on my rap sheet..... I put in home gym. It's fucking GRRRRRREAT !

Things will not change at public or even private Gyms because people are self-centered, rude, and thoughtless. They dont fucking care if they leave a puddle of gym short chili on the Smith machine, or "drop one" right in your face while theyare doing bent over rows!

I have been taken out of Bally's and Gold's in cuffs TWICE.... Being of German / Irish descent, I go berserk at times.
But I GARE-RONE -TEE the guy had a hard time taking a shit with my size 10EEE Nike up his ass!

It's been like that for the last 30 years, and it will go on forever.... Fuck that!

SOLUTION: Spend a little Jack, and put in a nice, methane free, twink and cum dripping gym whore free, Home gym.

Life is Gooood! :D
 
Funny stuff!

I one time witnessed a guy doing BB shrugs while talking on a cell phone. He wasn't on a blue tooth either. He was actually holding the phone between his ear and his shoulder while shrugging. That can't be good for your posture lol.

What's up with all the guys who bench with their feet up in the air or on the bench? I know some of you guys probably do this lol. Can some one explain the benefits of this to me? I mean beside using less weight, having less stability, and looking foolish lol.
 
I would had just told him what he was doing wrong. Most often people will actually take your advice...especially if they're a novice and you're in better 'shape' than they are.
And let's say they decide to be a prick, I'll ask them nicely to get their ass off the wrong equip. If that doesn't work I'l just have the staff tell them they're doing things incorrectly and they force them off. lol.
I know it seems like 'telling' on someone but its must better than getting all pissed about it

You guys need to see this group of kids in my gym. (Just for reference) I'm 5'11 230lbs Bench 385lbs, 565 DL, and 550lb squat maxes obviously. And I use strict 3 second rep form. (3 seconds to contract, 3 seconds to go back to starting position on all exercises.)

Well these 3 kids range from 5'9 to 5'11 and 155 to about 175lbs. They do quarter of the way down for squats and bench, swing 50lbs dumbbells for curls, use legs during trap exercises. When I say bad form I mean they are using 2 spotters to bench 275lbs a quarter of the way down. I'm going to have my wife bring her camera phone and get videos of these fools. The lead retard walks around in his wifebeater with his chest pushed out and arms out to the side like a damn cartoon character. I'm sure everyone has a group of these morons in their gym. I usually have my headphones on and I comment to my wife about it all the time and I guess I talk loud cuz other guys have come up to me in the gym to talk about them. It kills me cuz these guys act like they know everything, are on machines they shouldn't be on when I need to use them. I just wait for the injury to happen. If you can't use strict form at least 1 time for a weight you shouldn't be using it in the first place.

ah man i get that all the time, its because im a shorter guy and i guess the tall dudes feel like they are superior to a shorter guy so they have to show me up but they always fail. The guys that actually can show me up don't because they have nothing to worry about.

yah....there was a guy at my old gym used a barbell to curl like 280 lbs (he is still one of the largest people I have met in my life at a touch over 400lbs and benching a touch over 580 almost 6 benjamins at the time)

Honestly I give props to anyone that can curl 90s as far as genetics go I'm pretty lucky I just haven't finished training up my joints and tendons to be as strong as I think they need to be.

There was a guy waiting for them. there was 2 sets of the 30's and he was getting frustrated waiting for me to finish. so he finally grabbed the other pair of the 30's (which were over by the 70's, that's a whole other story how ppl can't put weights back) and he proceed to be a rocking chair and swing up and down soooo much it was very entertaining.

so I was at the gym...remembering a laugh or 2 I had about "crop dusting"....after some brocoli and beans I was feeling a little pent up anyways so while doing some pulldowns I let a little out...do my set I can't smell anything..crap...well I go over to the girls I work out with tell them the next excersize sets reps...drop off a little silent love walk back over to the pull downs..MIRACLE!! Some jackass didn't jump on it...I start pulling down..OH god what is that smell......lol took a good 4 minutes for the dusting to open up but I cleared 3 machines in all directions lol...late bloomers...gotta love em.
