Nwinters, how's the mma training going?

I just started going to a place here in CT. Because of my work and school schedule, I can only get there 3 days a week, but its better than nothing. Also in CT is team venom (http://www.teamvenom.tv), which looks like another place i'll have to check out (right now i'd only be able to go there on sunday mornings).

I'd like to fight in Mass Destruction (http://www.massdestruction.tv) within a year, preferably after a summer of being able to train 5-6 days a week.

I just started interval training to get my VO2 level up. Running a mile walking a mile...ect. Sprint 60 yds walk 60 yds ect. Grappled a bit sunday with a guy that has about 50 lbs on me...it was fun but he gets too excited when i have the upper hand (got a busted lip). I have upped the volume up a ton on my lifts, and will be doing alot of pylo implements. Alot of fighters will do hella bodyweight routines week by week. Im trying to find out what Couture does for a routine. Im baffled by the 40 yr olds ability to fight for 25 minutes straight without gasing. Im experimenting with a whole body split every other day to see if i can raise my endurance level, bieng sure not to go to failure and not to overtrain. Cardio in the morining and weights in the afternoon. Im trying to find other people in the area to grapple with.

I wont make the november event, but I think there is another one in Feb. I might make it to that one.

I've seen two short clips where they showed couture lifting. In one he was doing clean and presses and in another he was doing heavy bent rows.

I bet he just does alot of hard rolling and sparing, and any extra conditioning work is just complimentory.
 
I also seen him doing Medicine Ball Pylos. He is a machine!!!! Ive seen him doing up right rows with 135 like it was nothing!!!
