Does anybody know of any good cook books that are geared to the bodybuilding crowd?

The best bb'ing cookbook will be coming out on this website any day. It's by Needtogetaas.

Wait a few days - it will be worth it!!!!!!!

I will definitely need to look into this. I can be very creative, but after a while I need other ideas.

Something that has saved me in the search for more and better tastin protein is:

mix equal parts choc protein powder and boiling water, whisk until smooth - place in fridge and let cool.

You end up with what looks, acts and taste like choc fudge - the same texture as what you'd put on a sundae. I put in on my fruit salads - oatmeal, plain yogurt - on carb up days it goes on waffles with strawberries, it's great on anyhting choc can go on. It will even harder up over night if you drizzle it on your homemade PWO rolled oat bars.

Laura Cravelle, former IFBB figure pro, and Chris Aceto's wife (he used to do Jay Cutler's diet) has a few cook books.

They are mostly geared to low fat diets though.

Tom Venuto has a recipe book with his Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle.

I will definitely give that a try. I like taking Beverly International Ultrasize, mixing it with natural almond butter, honey, and maple extract. Smooth it out in a cookie pan with some Pam cooking spray so it won't stick. I don't bake it, just put it in the fridge and later I have some decent protein taffy to snack on when I get a sweet tooth. The same stuff can work pretty well for precontest goodies if you can time it right for filling out.

My book will be coming out any week now. Not only do you get the recipes and info thats in it now, but it will be updated weekly and monthly. Its like buying a never ending book of recipes, tips and ideas for the body builder. Lets see Tom Venuto offer that.

does the boiling water change the nutritional value of the protein?

The Protein will only "de-nature" if thats the proper terminology at extreme temperatures. You should be fine.

You don't have to boil the protein - just add boiling water - it mixes much better. You can do it with luke warm water but you'll be mixing for a while.
