Needto, I got some questions about your upcoming cook book.

Well-known member
Sorry if they have all been answered but I didnt really follow the threads. Life ya know.lol.......anyway, is it just a menu book with meals or do you have actaul meal plans to follow for an entire day. Like a full 1 week diet with all 6 meals a day set up to follow.

And more importantly do you alllow cheat days.lol

Also, do you have pre workout meals planned out. And to they go in depth as to what time your working out. I ask because Im going to be hitting the gym again after a 7 month lay off and Im either going to be working out first thing in the morning after waking or at around 3:30pm when I get out of work.

Not to mention I need to start eating better and I want to get the most out of my next cycle. Plus, I would like to live to see 75yrs old.

And if I decide to become a vegan will you be able to help?JK LOL

First off thank you for asking bro. I know you and others have all been waiting
for a book like this to come out. Lots of people trust my advice and even thous who don't know I have years of experence in the cooking filed so this is
a subject I can cover.

Right now the book starts off as a base. First off it will show any and every one how to cook. It shows the basics of cooking as well as tips of all kinds to become faster, better, and more efficient in all aspect of cooking for your goals. Its geared for athletes of all kinds right now. It is full of time savers, money savers, and problems solvers that all of us face both athletes and health nuts alike. There are many verities of recipes from bulk to cut. It is set up as 5 meals and pree and post meal shakes right now with over 300 recipes to get you started. I have not tackled the project of meal plans for bulk cut or pree contest yet in the book though there are meals and recipes for all of them in the book. Some of the meals have the micor's already written down for you and some don't. I will show people how to find out this info on there own.

This will be a on going book that will grow with the reader. Its a subject we have all been waiting for and I will not half ass it. The book is just a start but a damn good one. It has a chapter on how to make a weeks worth of meals in a day. How to serve store and carry it. Shit it has so much info it it. It took me way longer to make then I liked and there is sooooo much more that needs to me covered. I feel its the best base I could give people right now. I have had many people breathing down my neck to get this don.

Any and every one is going to learn a lot about cooking for body building and or any health gaols with this book, and its only going to grow and get better.
So yes in a way there is a 6 meal plan that you can follow. The recipes for 6 meals a day are all there laid out as easy can be, But there is also so much more.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

cant wait .. will love the bulk cookin tips and quick muscle meals.. i hate slaving behind a stove .. sounds like a great buy

Im pumped..i suck at cooking. Ive tried repeating Rachael Ray's recipes but they go to shit. Hopefully they are easier than hers....

My grill dont work for shit in the cold.

Im just looking for some simple meals that I can cook up in like a few hours for the entire week. And I will need storage advice also. Like how long I can leave stuff in fridge for. Freezer isnt really an option as I dont get stuff out in time to thaw............cus Im lazy....................but yeah Im planning on hitting the gym hard, just want the diet to be dialed in for once.

Is there a link to where we can get this book? There's nothing like supporting the members/mods when we can.

You don't happen to have KFC's secret ingredients listed in there do you?

Bring your gas tank in the house when it's cold outside.

The "11 Secret Herbs & Spices" were published years ago:
salt
pepper
MSG
...the rest is just flour and baking powder. Google it. Lots of recipes will add a dash of this or a pinch of that, but end with half a cup of MSG. Then just coat the cheapest, garbage chicken parts you can find, and deep fry til golden. Serve with various sides (like powdered mash potatoes) equally doused with MSG, then sit back waiting for the headache and/or shit hemorrhage.

Genocide food.... I suppose I'm a tad jaded because I remember the days when this stuff was actually good (and McDonald's still cooked to order on a grill)

EDIT:
Here's the recipe:

Too funny - I'm heading out to get a bucket right now.....

A full list is in the book bro.

The eBook should be ready for sale by the first week of February.

Cooking was everyone's challenge when we started BB. I cook Sunday and Wednesday evenings. Thanks to my Mom's recipes and recipes I've learned over the years, I've learned a way to cook chicken breasts with low fat. It's just a matter of being creative!

Cooking is a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation. Cooking is a life survival skill that every human being should learn at least at a basic level.

One of the things needto did in this book that is so remarkable, is that he TEACHES you how to cook, before he gives you the first list of ingredients...
If you take time to read the first couple of chapters throughly, you can cook. Its THAT simple.

The Book takes you from learning how to cook, to the some more specialized stuff of interest for the Bodybuilder. Like the section on making a week's worth of healthy meals on a short Sunday afternoon.

You will all be very please with the work.

So true, And there is so many aspects to the problem. Even people that have been in the game a wile would love to get better at it. Some people are creative
and some are not. Some are more creative then others. I think any one, well almost any one can learn how to cook low fat chicken on there own (bowl or bake boneless skinless chicken add spice) . Can you cook it over 300 different ways? Can you take a meal that you would normally reserve for a cheat meal and make it a meal you can eat every day? If cooking is easy for you would you like to make it even more easy? Would you like a much much wider range of recipes then you already have? Do you think you know every trick and nothing could make cooking for your diet any easer? How about cutting down your food bill? I think every one would like that. Just a tip of things to think about.

I have so many recipe books I don't know where to put them all. I Have been cooking for over 13 years and I am a head chef. I still go out and get more books. I still ask others for there recipes. I still try to learn something new from any one I can. I think any and every one can gain from the book.

I've always considered myself an adept cook, and have gotten enough compliments over the years.

But I am finding it a real challenge cooking in a "healthy, anabolic state of mind". I end up with chicken, broccoli, and rice. Looking forward to the book...

Here's an example of what helped me "bulk" to this point:

As we all are bro. Thanks.......

Can't wait for the book. Needto is a top bro and knows what he's talking about so I'm looking forward to it.

Diet has always been a bit of a struggle for me. I love training, but cooking/eating and meal planning can be a pain in the a*s. Yet it's probably the most important aspect of bodybuilding.

I think I just need to pre-plan and plan meals in advance more...so I'm always looking for new ideas on this.

The best part of the book is we are going to find a way to make it grow with the members. I will get feed back from all of you and tackle all the problems you have with cooking for your diets. As people bring there feed back and problems
I will come up with ideas to help them. So any problem you have now or even later will get covered in the book or in some way when you get the book. Its going to grow with you.

Im still eating your protein pancakes nice :p :p

Brad.

If you can get it so my lazy ass, can prepare all his food for the week in one day then I will love you.

I have a chapter on this. Its short right now but its a subject I will be adding to every month thats for sure. Its a subject rick and I both thought would be big and turns out it has. So we will be making it a focal point.

Wow i have never thought of cooking eggs like that. How are they. Good that sound kinda weird to me i guess.

Its really good bro. Kind of like a fried egg but with out all the oil or butter. Its how the make eggs benny.

Just get some water boiling and drop a egg into the water really slow. Just use a few eggs and learn to cook it the way you like it. Use a slotted spoon to pull the egg out. Its kind of a art you have to perfect but once you have it down its pretty cool.

I always end up dumping the egg in a small plastic container before I cook them, regardless of how I'm cooking them. I just have to get that fucking rooster juice off the yolk first, makes me fucking sick just looking at it, nevermind knowing I'm eating it. Gotta get rid of that shit. GF laughs for what seems to be hours, and lets me know exactly how fucking strange I am for doing so every time she catches me doing that shit. I am picky as fuck with my food. Maybe a little fucked in the head too, whatever...hahahaaha.

or easy meals when one is sick as a dog. Im about to puke up my left lung and getting any kind of protein in this week has been non existent.

yes this would be of great help
I can see this is going to be a big clutch toppic people are going to want to see a lot of. Right now the book has started covering it. A plan to make a weeks
worth of food for 1 week in 4 hours is in the book. I will start making more meal plans like this right now.. The first one is basic but you will love the way its laid out. Shopping list, recipes for all the meals, and a recipe that shows you how to bring it all together in 4 hours, step by step on how to cook, serve, and store the whole meal so each meal is fresh and taste great. It even gives you room for choses on your tastes.

Like brr says bro. One of the major parts of this book is the first few chapters. If you read them and revert back to them when reading recipes you can cook any recipe I put forth. That was one of our (rick and I's) major gaols. To make every one a cook.

Needto will have all these questions answered and many more that we are not thinking of.

From what I gather it will help the seasoned chef add to their already large list of bodybuilder/healthy recipes. For those that burn water the recipes will be in an easy to read format.

I like the idea of an ebook so I can just print off the recipes I want to use as opposed to having the whole book. I tend to spill & splatter stuff so I would ruin a hard copy quickly.

Basics such as measurements, seasonings, pre-heating ovens/grills/pans, servings, nutritional content, storage, pre-assembly, and many more will be covered.

I am looking forward to it. It will be a must read for those that cook everything "fresh" or those looking to only cook once a week (me).

I keep hearin the once a week meals over and over again. Big rick told me it would be big so I mad a small chapter on it, but I can see it needs to be a focal point.

About a year or so ago I had some chick coming over for dinner. So obviously I gave my man NT a shout. Dude hooked it up with not only a sick 4-course meal, but a relatively easy one to make at that.

Point being - my penis touched vagina that evening. :qt:

that is reason enough to buy the book-- :horny:

Needto,

Are you going to have a dessert section??

I've been looking for decent / sort of healthy desserts but they are very hard to find.

So far my best one is vanilla sorbet with extra thick (1 scoop to 1 oz fat free milk) choc protein mix drizzled over top with a bit of shaved lindt dark choc.

Yes there is more then a few healthy dessert recipes in the book already.

Man, the more I read about this book the more stoked I am about it. When you bringing this out Needto? I wanna get my mits on this fast.

The bulk storage/bulk cooking sounds right up my street. I've thought about this before, but never knew exactly what I can/can't store safely or how long I could keep certain foods refridgerated or the dangers of re-heating foods..etc.

I don't mind eating quite bland food, it's just the time factor with me.

That reminds me, I need to get myself some more tupperware containers!

Full chapters on storing food in fridge, freezer, dry storage, tips on making it last longer stay fresher, keep taste, and full charts on how long hundreds of different foods types should last for all storage methods.

Big rick rock is working on getting the book ready for sale. He made a post in this thread setting a quota for some time around the first of next month. Believe me he is working hard on this. I have to give rick a lot of credit because a lot of his Ideas went into this whole project, and a lot more will before its all said and don.
