I can't train my legs no more. The doc advised me against it untill my leg/glute heals.

Some of you may remember I pulled my ham/glute when my leg slid out while going for an out od bounds ball playing vball. I could barely walk for a few weeks, then it gradually got better, to an extent. Now anytime I sit without my leg straight for extended periods of time it aches like hell. Driving more than 20 minutes, or sitting on the couch.

The fucked thing is, I can squat, do dls, and leg presses. The only leg excercise that hurts is leg curls so I had already stopped doing them.

Gotta start seeing a PT next Friday and hopefully figure this shit out.

I was just getting up to some decent poundages again too. I don't want my legs to shrink and lose the muscle mass there either.

Damn it!
 
Let it heal and accept it bro, when you get back in shape it's gonna be a different story.
 
Baby it but not to much. Keep that thing mobile, do what you can take it will heal faster then if you try and avoid use at all costs.
 
How about stretching and bodyweight lunges, reverse lunges, hindu squats, etc. Not the same, but 3-4 times a week should help you keep some conditioning and may be helpful active recovery.

Is that what you meant by cycle Iggy? Of did you mean run a cycle?
 
pulled hammies suck ass...take a LONG time to heal....be patient, or risk re-injury.

no doubt, I severely pulled both of mine years ago, and I still do not think they have ever healed completely, they are always tight
 
i have a bad knee and when it acts up i find getting on the bike with some resistance keeps my legs nice and thick.
