No Energy At 5% Body Fat Or Less

ok for folks that have low body fat %.i am at 5.3 % and am realy starting to feel tired all the time.how does everyone that knows what im talking about push past this problem?i have altered carbs/cardio and just about everything else butt with no luck.my weight is at 213 if that helps any.not a newbie to this but just having a little bit of trouble this go around and need some sound advice.
 
First of all, you're a freaking beast! How tall are you? I had my bodyfat measured with calipers at 2.7% before my show (I don't think it was really that low though). I was probably around 3-4%. Yes, I felt like hell the whole time. I am naturally lean and I still struggled once I got around 6%.
 
the lowest i ever heard was 4% and that was a professional Lee priest was talking about... Essential bf is at 5 anything below and you are on life support.
Now as for calipers...they suck! you have to messure at least 20 different spots on the body to get a reading even close to what you are at and even then the only true way to find out is to get submerged in a tank for reading that stuff.
think about it...the calipers messure hydration level as well as bf, some people store fats on different areas of their body then others
 
that is not always true, i have been at 4% my whole life sometimes 5. you are right most of the time, but people who have very small frames simply do not hold as much mass and can have that low of bf. i test at 3 on a caliper and know that is a little low, but think of someone like kevin garnet who is 7 feet 220, he is probably 5% year round no matter what, thats how i am. makavelli just competed at 3%. a lot of athletes are 4-5% naturally. i am very energetic so i say i know the feeling, but i know people that are naturally 10-11% and when they go down to 5 they are ready to pass out. hope that helps

dude no offense but do some more reading...im a nutritionist and i know for a fact that isnt right....
lee priest "i never have my body fat tested and i think thats a complete waste of time for bodybuilders. All these guys love to rave about how their body fat is this or that amount, but then you look at them and they're still smooth. bodybuilding is judged entirely by appearance, so you have to go by the mirror. If you look ripped, you will do well. people all seem to exaggerate how low their body fat is, too. On the message boards, almost nobody ever says that they're over 10 percent, but on the rare occasions that they post a photo-very rare i may add- its clear that they're off by at least an additional 10 percent. then if they can see a couple of abs and a vein or two, they claim to be down to three percent. Give me a fucking break. three percent body fat was like andreas munzer, looking like the skin was peeled off."

no bro not like that at all, u are right medically, people at 4 or 5 usually are very unhealthy and weak, its low. but there are always acceptions all i am saying bro. i wasn't trying to yell at you, i just want people to understand that there are some of us out there that have that type of bf. i def agree with you though on 98 percent of all people, just sayin look at garnett or tyson chandler who is 7 2 200 pounds, now they don't look good to me, but they can't be much above 4. i agree too that people see a vein or an ab and they say they are 4% true that, love handles can be hidden well by a ripped front.
 
There are always cases of extreme ectomorphs whose bodies function normally at 5-6% bodyfat. That is rare though. These people almost never have any muscle mass to speak of though.

you are right too, but these people don't usually juice they usually play bball. i was 6 2 125 full grown as a fresh in college, no joke. i ain't embarassed, and now i am up to 165 but man puttin on weight natty was impossible, i could only get to like 140. i had a 26 inch waist, and no legs and my arms are 6 6 span. waist is now 28, but my joints are tiny, just small frame. i feel like at 190 i am gonna look sick cause of how narrow my body is. you dudes are right though i am an exception, and i am lucky i have the patience to work through this ecto morph shit. thing is once u beat it all your gains are lean. thanks fellas k to all of you for being constructive
