New guy here. Read the rules, hopefully I’m doing everything right with this post.
Been training ten years pretty seriously. I’m 46 years old and I’m beginning to hit some walls. Prior to training I was a pretty unathletic guy and when I started hitting the gym – did it full force. I’m very informed when it comes to diet and general training, but not very informed about the types of things addressed in this forum.
I’m 5’6” and I currently weigh 170. 16” arms, 44” chest, 32” waist, 23” thighs, 15” calves – not a big buy, but I work out at a gym oriented toward bodybuilding – as opposed to a poser gym – and I’m pretty strong when I compare myself to other guys there.
I’m considering doing a bulking and cutting cycle – one time each just to get a bit of mass and get ahead of the aging curve a little. I suspect as I’m aging I’m getting a little low in testosterone or have some estrogen issues, but when I’ve been tested at the docs, he says everything is within "normal limits" – whatever that means.
I’m just at the beginning of my research on this matter, but based on some “beginner cycles” listed on a site, this is what I’m considering:
Bulking
Cycle Length and layout:
Length 10 weeks
Weeks 1-4 GP Methan10 40 mg per day
Weeks 1-10 500mg GP Test Cyp per week
Weeks 1-10 GP Anastrozole .5 mg per day (continue to run this for 10 days after cycle)
Cutting
Cycle length and layout:
Length 8 weeks
Weeks 1-8 100 mg GP Test Prop every other day.
Weeks 3-8 40 mg GP Stan 10 per day.
Weeks 1-8 GP Anastrozole .5 mg per day (continued for at least 10 days after cycle.)
Aside from the general newbie comments you guys will probably throw my way, is there anything I’m missing with regards to doing this? As I said, I just starting the research, and I’m not going into this blithely or lightly. Trying to do everything right and learn as much as I can before hand.
