Newbie *before* pictures only. Not pretty.

Hey everyone,

I am a newbie here and I am starting a lifting regime for the first time. I have never been very active, but somehow maintained a normal body weight for my entire life...at least until a year ago. You see, I am 5'2 and 150 lbs. I haven't had my body fat measured for about a year but I think I am around 30%. I have just finished college and I slowly gained a lot of fat during my time there. The pictures that I am posting are going to be my "before" pictures. I hope to lose about 20 lbs and gain much more muscle. I really just doing this for myself. No more starving and acting like an idiot- I am going to do it the healthy way.

I bought the book "the body sculpting bible for women" and I really like what I see. I think I am going to follow this program. Does anyone know anything about it? Also- if you see anything in my pictures you'd like to comment on, please feel free.

*warning* these pictures are NOT pretty. I'm a fatty.

Thanks in advance, everyone.

You don;t look like a fatty to me

Am i missing something>?????

I agree, at least you're healthy enough to have something to work with.

Thanks everyone, makes me feel a little better.

My diet has really sucked so cleaning that up is my first challenge. I'm lucky that I naturally hold a pretty good amount of muscle. Unfortunatly it is covered in a layer of blubber. :p

Oh...and what is a non-plat?

I'm sorry if I posted my pics in the wrong spot...

Thanks again.

I don't see any "blubber" as you put it. Cleaning up your diet and doing some resistance training will firm you up really quick. You seriously aren't what I would call fat at all.

No plat means non-platinum member. Platinums are paying members, part of their extra rights are to see pics full sized.

This is the right spot for pics, unless you want to show a little more :p then youcan be in the pics of women forum.

Cheers,
Scotsman

OMG!

You're not a "fatty" - you have a fantastic base to start with and as already said keep that diet clean and you'll start to see some more muscle.

Also - just for your own records try and take some upper body - shoulders, arms and upper back if possible so you can track your progress.

You're going to do fine.

I've heard of "the body sculpting bible for women" but I've never actually seen it, maybe you could tell us about it?

Come visit us girls in the women's forum!

You look pretty solid for 5'2, 150 lbs. I'd say these are more like 'halfway' pictures. Good luck with the program and welcome to EF!

P.S. wanna date?

I think you look pretty good. Most women tend to compare themselves with the fitness models in the magazines and although it is certainly attainable and a good long term goal, the reality is it takes a lot of work to get there. Guys are no different, a lot of us tend to compare ourselves with the pros and end up with "bigorexia" where no matter how big we get, it's never enough. The bottom line is you look way better than the average woman and that should be motivation enough to take you to the next level. :) Good luck, keep us posed on your progress. Throwin a little K yor way

Since we're all thinking it (and somebody will say it sooner or later) I sure wouldn't mind seeing you in that suit from behind. ;)

You may be able to talk me into it, but I'm warning you....its cellulite city. I'm 1/2 Greek and 1/2 Italian and that is where I carry about 75% of my bodyfat. I guess it goes with the culture.

Ah well.

Awh, you are all so awesome. I was having a heart attack when I was posting those pictures...lol...

I looked at them again, and there is a little bit of a shadow that is behind me on the wall- so I guess I am not as huge as I thought I was at first glance.
I began my new workout/diet on Monday...so far so good. Like I said before, I'm using the Bodysculpting Bible for Women plan and we'll see how it goes.

In a nutshell, it works like this:
Monday:
4 compound sets of upperbody weight training.

Tuesday: Cardio and abs (they recommend 20 min. but I do 45)

Wednesday:
4 compound sets of lower body and some back

Thursday: Cardio and abs (they recommend 20 min. but I do 45)

Friday:
4 Compound sets of different upper and lower body

Satuday: Cardio and abs (they recommend 20 min. but I do 45)

Sunday: Rest and one cheat meal.

The diet is basically 6 meals a day...chicken..flax seed oil...green veggies...brown rice. You know the deal. My only problem is that I am a vegetarian and I don't really want to eat eggs or milk either. I eat beans and peanut butter...I know there are meatless burgers and stuff but I am really trying to eat whole foods.

It's hard to find something that has the same nutritional value as chicken and fish and have it not be animal derived. I have soy shakes too, but I know I can't totally depend on them for protien.

I'll have to do some research.

Thanks again :)

well i think youre way too hard on yourself..from what i can tell you look very juicy..i hate those skinny model type women... i like some meat on my bones..

lookin good.

Damn! got here by accident again...

Anyway, while I`m here, I agree with everyone, you look great. You`ll do fine, you got a great base. Muscle helps burn the fat. Good luck.

You look like you have a great base. And you are NOT a fatty - we are always the hardest on ourselves! Getting that diet down and with some solid training - you are going to be SMOKING. Diet is the most important!

Me and my girl both think you look great. It only gets better from here.

Exactly. $.28 cents per day.

Definitely not a "fatty". It also looks like you have some good curves, the sexy kind. Hit the gym and the correct diet and you will be even better in no time. Good luck.

First off youre not fat.

My gf is greek and she and her friends call it the Helenic Hip Disorder. Hehehehe I thought you might find some humor in that..

Thanks in advance, everyone.

Definitly NOT a fatty, you look good. With proper eating and training you will do great :)

pay for 6 months, you get 3 free.

Enigma, you and I look like we're in about the same boat. (I've got 2 inches of height and about 12 lbs over you, body fat the same as what you posted in the women's forum)...trying to undo what college did!

I really admire you posting before pictures on here....I would not be able to bring myself to do that (at least not until I had after/during pictures to compare it to at the same time)!!!!

You go girl!!!!

enigmawoman you look great! nice curves. you certainly shouldnt lose too much weight. I live in So Cal (land of the beautiful people), and I see girls that are much more of "Fatties" than you running around in their bikinis at the beach. You have NOTHING to worry about or be ashamed of at all!

If you're a fatty, you're a FILF. ;) Beware of peanut butter. Seaweed has good protein content, but is very expensive. Will you eat whey protein? Why are you a vegetarian? I'd get all spiritual on you about it, but this isn't the forum for it. Try the book /Definition/, which is about cardio weightlifting. I would suggest focusing on losing fat before building muscle. Don't try to do both at the same time.

enimawoman - you definitely do not look fat. all women are beautiful, and you more so than many!!! as most have already said, stick to your diet - but don't do it because others say so, do it to be true to yourself and what you want. undoubtedly, judging by the courage it takes to post in the first place, you will have the mental toughness and discipline to succeed.

I really, really look forward to seeing your progress.

not fat at all... nice natural curves...

I am sure you will do extremely well...

how about the next time i pay for the site stop sending me spam mails that tell me to buy this or that so I can look like god in a matter of just two weeks.

damn it I just keep in my memory what this place was a good 6-7 years ago when it started and was full of good people helping people out and nobody trying to turn a profit on it. Of course it had its fair share of flamers back in that day.

I came back to the site a year ago and went plat to come back and read a little for a while and 4 things happend.

1. I got sick of getting spam mail about buying some product that says I will look like god if I use it for only two weeks.

2. got tired of the site trying to sell me some kind of book.

3. Got tired of loging in to spam on my pms

4. when my plat expired and i didn´t renew I could no longer post with the account.

I hardly come here anymore anyway but when I read people saying go plat go plat go plat it just makes my blood boil. Yeah i think we should help support the site but I don´t think that getting mega scams in my email from the site that I support is reasonable.

Like I said before. There was a day when this question came up and I was 100% for charging on this site but man the other people said this kind of stuff would happen and here we are today.
