Just to clarify what do you mean by giving up your back? Havn't come across the phrase over here (yeah I know I'm being slow, it's late and I'm tired!)

Behind you and controlling you

BTW- Don't street fight unless it is to save your life... And if you get taken down like that, don't be ashamed of bitting off an ear or a nose. It's about survival!
Actually, I think it would be better to just piss your pants while you're rolling on the ground with your attacker. Then, at the top of your lungs, scream out "Give it to me, Daddy!"

That will scare'em or get your a new friend. Either way.

the video sucked. The people on here who are talking about experience or w/e..STFU, it was a gay fight period.

the green guy coul dhave stomped the shit out of the black guys face, especially for keeping ocming back, fighting aint cool but at least the green guy had some compassion.

as for giving up ur back, how should you stand up in a fight? i wrestled so i know wrestling standups, but that gives awawy the back right away,

if i got in a fight i figured if i wa son ground id flop onto my stomach super fast and throw backward elbows while standing up.

It's a good thing I have the power to end a fight much quicker than that. I would have died from exhaustion had I been either of those 2. BTW, that was stupid and the people egging them on were morons.

How can you be so sure you can end any fight, even against average joes, quickly? You might need to get on the cardio.

LOL. You still remember that? He's a boxer. A great one at that. But if he got no ground game, I think I'd have a chance to overpower him. A ground fighter? No way. I'd lose for sure even if he were much smaller, if he were world class. My nephew weighed about 165-170 when I charged in and picked him up and could have slammed him on the concrete and probably killed him. I love that boy, so I would never do that.

Even if he had no ground skills, he might knock you out before you could overpower him.

lots of bullshit in this thread

green guy was barely trained. couldnt pull off a basic choke the whole time. sure he knew to get into the mount and to keep blows going to the face to keep your opponent off balance, but he niether finished with a decent choke OR any power shots. he turned an easy fight into a wankathon.

guy in black was useless. he wasted energy trying to outmuscle a better positioned opponent AFTER he handed him favorable position esp. the full mount. had a lot of heart though. imo hed probably be the more dangerous of the two after some training.

pathetic overall though. why the hell would you want to fight, on camera, in front of a bunch of jeering ignorants? dumb.

Giving up your back = rolling over to avoid being punched in the nose = dumb, but nevertheless pros do it plenty.

I doubt green was trained above watching a UFC or two. His mount looked incredibly unbalanced and unpracticed, sitting that high up.. if you cannot escape that mount you have a serious problem and should stick with something more like embroidery. Absolutely powerless as well. Coulda gone on for hours, no ko potential, and could dry hump him hugging his neck indefinitely. Both are jackasses, clearly fighting for nothing other than to show off in front of a group/camera.

Knowing anything about fighting is a mixed blessing, the confidence and idea that it could save you were you/loved ones to be hurt is nice, but most people that are gona mug you are probably going to be armed (I always picture that scene in Indiana Jones and The temple of Doom? with the sword master that Indy just shoots after he does his little sword tricks). I've only been involved in one streetfight (pointless) and looking back on it now, I would have rather lost. The legal system is half retarded, the winner of the fight has a very difficult time proving both parties are equally responsible.

This weeks fight on the ultimate fighter was a much better example of a "vicious beat down". Bisbing made Kristian look like had absolutely 0 business being in the cage. Painful to watch.
