Nelson Montana-why do you think no one keeps their gains?

I think that Nelson hit it dead on here. (How about that Nelson? GRIN) I would like to further add that once you hit your genetic potential and continue to make gains while on steroids there is also a limit to how much you can gain. That limit gain be extended by use of gh and insulin but still a limit. Further that limit is much more obvious in older users(IMO). This is, of course, my opinion rather than researched fact since it is unlikely that any studies exist exploring this.

one thing

people are missing here. Its hard to keep up these gains or being in shape in the first place.

I thnik the "myth" of not being able to keep gains comes from people finally coming off in their late 30's and not lifting with the intesity they did 10 or 15 years ago.

All those heavy weights take tolls on your body. Your dedication fades, you skip workouts. You dont watch your diet. Then people se you and are like WTF happened you used to be huge?

Just like some people think taking juice will instantly make you big, the people that lose gains blame it on not taking juice, but really gaining and maintaing have more to do with diet, training and dedication.

Lets be honest, worrying about eating protein every 2 hours and hitting the gym tires out most people sooner or later. Most people that come off in their prime tend to keep their gains. Its just that most people come off and also stop the lifestyle in general, thus lost gains.

Myth?!? It's a fact bro. Nobody is talking about the obvious loss that comes from not training. Even with training, it's damn difficult to keep much more than 20 -30 pounds -- and that comes from years of slow steady steroid use.

NOBODY gains 30 pounds in one shot and keeps it 6 months later without any additional juice. Sure, they can eat more and put on fat and water, but not lean mass As boldman mentioned, this is something the "old timers" have a better sense of since they've pushed the envelope for so long -- both naturally and enhanced.

This is why I advocate low dose, short cycles. Doesn't it make more sense to gain 5 pounds in 3 weeks and keep it than to gain 30 pounds in 12 weeks and lose 25 of them?

The reason longer cycles don't work as well is because every day you're on, you further supress your recovery. And don't kid yourself thinking that Clomid or even HCG is going to make much of a difference.

Most people can't gain 10 pounds of muscle in one year training natually. That's what makes steroids so amazing. But growth must still be slow and steady. The body needs time to adapt to the additional weight. For me, the most additional permanent amount of muscle I could add was 25 pounds over the course of a few years. Not bad at all. Any more can not be maintained without additional fat. Maybe someone can do a bit more. But I have to laugh when people think I'm not big enough at 190 and think that they're badasses because they weigh 260 pounds. Then you see them 2 years later after they quit juicin' and they're a fat 180.

Ok, so if you would pick a steroid then, that might make it easier to hold on to the muscle gains, that would be somethuing like a very VERY slow acting steroid like primobolan, Equipose, and a steroid that doesn't shut you down as much. Maybe there actually is a perfect cycle for keepable gains, anavar - primobolan. Because then something like prop, tren and other steroids that will make you gain a lot of msucle in notime would make it gharder for one to hold on to the msuclegains over time, or is there a "hold on to it for 321days and you can/will keep 'em" ;)

I don't know if it was my clomid therapy, lack of HGH, or whatever, but I lost a shitload of strength on my last cycle. Crashed hard. It was a 12 weeker and I ever tried to taper down the last 2 weeks as well. Still crashed. Post cycle, I made a concerted effort to eat more protein and less carbs. Did my cardio, etc. etc. Still crashed. Like I hit a brick wall or something, my gains just went down the toilet. I'm not kidding. I fucking scrutinized my diet post cycle. Maybe I did too much cardio, since I switched over into a cutting cycle, but I still kept the calories pretty high. :bawling:

my post cycle policy is no excercise for a week, then limited lifting slowly going back to normal over a month
high calories too-just like i was lifting

right on wm_01, high calories, no cardio, decreased volume and intensity of training, HCG, clomid, and insulin (after training while on clomid - 3wks), clen and you will keep your gains. Train or eat too little or overtrain and peace to your gains.
Use HCG and clomid to get your natty test up and runnin, clen for energy and anitcatablism, and hit your clomid. I've only lost my gains after one cycle and that was b/c I ate like shit, and didn't recover from 8wks of hi dose tren for quite a while. Now I know better.

i agree

low to moderate cycles are the way to go, after a 2 big test cycles i have come to the conclusion, for me personaly, i can't keep much gains off test at all, no matter what I do. My last cycle was low EQ & winny, not much sides, compared to the test bloat (even w/ anit e's). I gained about 10 pounds and kept about 7 of lean muscle. I also have kept most of my strength, some lifts even going up. This will be my cycle of choice from now on. no more high dosages for me, don't get me wrong I like being big as fuck, but I hate shrinking.
