I learned over my first 5x5 run that gaining 27 lbs. without running the entire time was an exceptionally dumb idea. When I first "ran" again, I'm pretty sure I was causing stress fractures...to the concrete. The next day, I hurt quite a bit. I think I even wrote in my journal that I will no longer bulk without running twice per week. If it means more calories eaten, so be it.
