Need to switch my WO's to first thing in the morning for a while due to time constraints for a week or so. Im used to 730pm WO's. Any advice to get me through this? Eat before? after? both? Im not trying to burn more fat or anything like that, this is purely for time reasons. any advice will be appreciated.

I trained at 6:30 am for about 2 years. I woke up everyday at 4AM, ate a bowl of protein oatmeal, and went back to bed. I'd wake up two hours later ready to GO! I trained at the same time of day without getting up early to eat, as well...it's not the same. The fuel makes the difference.

I train at 6 am. I get up at 5, have a nice heavy meal, get cleaned up and head to the gym. Have no problems with energy, but then again, that is why I train early. I'm strongest first thing in the morning. I usually go home and take a nap immediately afterwards.

i just feel all my energy is at night...thats why im worried about this change. but its gotta be done, so ill have to tough it up

dont worry, youll get used to working out in the a.m. just make sure you get something to eat before you train to give you some energy, if i dont eat well in the morning im useless. also coffee helps.

Make a celltech (dex) and whey shake......start it after your first set and continue.......nice ass pump.

Several months ago I had to get up at 4:50 to train. I would down a protein shake before driving to the gym. I would also listen to heavy metal music and think about how pissed I was to be up that early. After the workout I would eat again then take a nap if I had time. I got used to it and it was actually my best training cylce at that time.

You'll get used to it.:)

I work out about noon now. It took a while to get used that from 6-7pm.

3-4 eggs, 1 cup oatmeal and occasionally 1-2 stacker 2's an hour before I put the kid down for a nap and hit the garage.:D

I work out around 6-6:30am on weekdays and what I've noticed is that I have to remember to drink a decent amount of water when I 1st wake up. I am always dehydrated in the mornings and I have noticed that my workouts go alot better when I have 24-32 oz of water with my breakfast before I hit the gym.
