You don't know why you like the joker? He always struck me as a manic depressive personality.....interesting twist on the character by Heath Ledger.....maybe you like the duality of the joker's image. I liked the most recent portrayal of the character, no sense of order or structure, just a whirlwind of chaos. Kind of strange though, since chaos is ALWAYS unpredictable, which I think could lead one to argue that chaos does have a discernable pattern, albeit, a random one. I don't know if I am really articulating myself correctly, I could be way off.

I loved the interrogation scene in Dark Knight, the joker basically made batman look impotent. He was laughing at him while he was being beaten. Similar to the scene in Fight Club when Brad Pitt's character was laughing as the mob guy was trying to hurt and intimidate him by physically beating him.

I don't think chaos is always unpredictable, it's just not in correct ratio or proportion that is conducive to living. Like a child can live in chaos and given the choice of waiting 15 minutes and getting 2 cookies, he reaches, he ignores the reward, and instead of making an effort to abide, and have self restraint by controlling the yelling of the sensations, he says to himself fuck it, now is better than 2.
Now we fast forward 15 years and he is still bound to sensation rather than developing a physiology and psychology through habit of self restraint... which is really self mastery, which is really joy...
so instead he crystallizes this approach at the level of sensation. Sensation rules all, time has a different meaning for him as instant gratification is all he knows.
We can safely predict his life wil be not in a conducive rhythm or interval or proportion between working, playing, resting, eating, fucking, and just well doing. He will be in 'chaos'.
Moreover, he will not be connected to society, like he will be in isolation, due to this 'chaotic' approach, and the 2nd law of thermodynamics will apply...
The second law of thermodynamics is an expression of the universal law of increasing entropy, stating that the entropy of an isolated system which is not in equilibrium will tend to increase over time, approaching a maximum value at equilibrium.
Which originated in Carnot's Reflection of the Motive Power of Fire.

Point is Chaos is predictable. It's just not conducive to life. Or happyness.

I just get a vibe of THUNDERous intensity (I dig intensity.. but u know this).

Ariel, I am trying to grasp what you are saying. I am very impressed with your extrapalation. To be honest, as I read your post, I kind of feel like the character from the movie, "Amadeus". The character in question was a gifted court composer who absolutely despised Mozart. No, I would not consider myself "gifted", smarter than the average bear, sure. Nor do I "despise" you. Anyway, this character was absolutely frustrated and tormented with the fact that he was good enough to recognize how brilliant Mozart's music was but he was not necessarily good enough to peroform at his level. I have to take my hat off to you. I am picking up bits and pieces of what you are saying and can almost see the picture but I just can't completely grasp it. I think it may frustrate you and humiliate me a little, but could you break out some crayons maybe.....draw me a picture.....dumb it down...sorry!!!!!!!

To explain the biological and psychological would take 2 pms... as it explains a misconeption of time, the link between sensation arising, perception developing, and how the self is governed at the sensation level by itself, and if no restraint is shown early a condtioned, crystallized interpretation can develop leading to chaos.
It's predictable. In this day and age we are all in chaos.
Some will arise out of it, but not all.
