My new secretary is making me want to put a bullet in my head...

Was she persuasive in her interview, I guess I'm asking did her answers come across as confident and self assured... I guess her resume was up to date and references checked out I'm assuming. I'm inferring the questions are relevant to the responsiblities... Maybe you are hiring based on familiarity of a certain type of person U dealt with in the past. My point is, hiring is not an exact science and it is common to hire mediocre people that can't handle responsibility... I would examine the pattern of your hiring, and try to remember what exactly drew you to that person... I know this is abstract, but of all the tens of millions of short men in the United States, a research study only produced 10 short men as CEO's for Fortune 500 companies, the real exception is Kenneth Chenault, as he is 5 9 and black, two minority things goin on...
My point is there are so many subconscious cues that go into hiring and you may wanna examine some of yours, there may be a pattern to U mishiring...
Sorry she's retarded... U are patient, and this must really be her millionth mistake... try to remember what u read in the Art of Happiness on her next mistake...

She seriously misrepresented the scope of her experience and abilities on her resume. Her references checked out because she is very likable.

I am VERY patient, but she makes me NUTS!

I'm back in the office now to type a memo on how to check a calendar.

you should hire me!!! i'm a fast learner and i'd totally give you neck massages on MY breaks. i'd take the initiative and hide under your desk on "stressful" days. only if you're wearing a skirt though...
