well it depends on the med....I personally wouldnt wanna see ANYONE on methadone unless they were a chronic pain patient who is documented to not respond to anything else.

But psychotropics interact with a lot of stuff, and its NEVER a good idea to use a substance that affects mood and personality (ie -- ETOH) when taking medication for Bipolar Disorder or any mood disorders. (Kinda defeats the purpose).

But really, only a trained psychiatrist should answer that question.

I know in holland they are now treating heroin addicts with just reduced amounts of heroin because their research claims it is less toxic than methadone....
Any time methadone comes into the convo... the word relationship should never be spoken.

She knows. She's dealt with all but the herion addiction for a long time.

For her pain, has she ever tried Neurontin, Cymbalta, or Lyrica? These could help.

I don't know. The clinic won't let her take certain drugs and the methodone at the same time, so she has basically foregone pain meds to stay off the H. She was prescribed oxy for her back until the clinic said no. If she fails a UA with anything other than she is prescribed, she can't get her methodone.

For future referance, if the woman thng has been a trend for awhile, you meet pyshcos... you end up being caretaker, you end up in some kinda "movie" plotline... The real problem is probably something internal, not the girls. Yea they are psycho but subconsciously your seeking them out. I'd really work to make yourself aware of things, and fix them.. You can't let Negative black holes like them into your life, it will fuck you up over time internally. Negative energy is like cancer man. I only speek from experiance on this topic, but get that figured out and you will notice a lot less psychos in your life. I watched a shit ton of seminars, read psychology books, etc etc etc and I'm 100% differant towards women then I used to be and for once I have peace! lol

hardrock, why does she need vicodin for her back? I have scoliosis and have had back pain off and on from muscle strains and even went to PT (has she gone to PT)? Scoliosis alone does not cause back pain. Does she have some disc issues or something else going on in her back? sounds like she uses excuses to take drugs.

It's some kind of degenerative bone issue that affects all her bones, but her back is the worst. She literally wakes up in pain several times a night. And it was Oxycontin not vicodin which is hydrocodone I belive. She doesn't want to take it anyway, cause she doesn't want anymore additcions.


And Austin, You could be right, but it's a little too late. I don't think I seek these people out tho. I just think I don't see the signs early enough to know to get the hell out.
