The reason these things go sour probably has to do with the fact that one of the parties involved isn't being diciplined enough to get his ass in the gym and eat right. He knows he is about to get served so he starts flaming the other guy. Keep the call-outs rolling, just be men about it!!

Give me a fucking break...what a godamn drama queen. Leave then you bitch. I did everything I could to encourage you to finish this contest the best you could. As a competitive person (which many of us are) these contests give those of us that don't wanna "take it to the stage", a platform to compete. Some of these contests start out extremley friendly and some start with a gripe. Well this sarted with a gripe. If the mods open the E vs F thread you can read what pissed me off about Georgie. I know he is a longtime contributor to this board and I appreciate and respect that. What I don't appreciate or respect was his lack of respect towards me. He didn't know me and yet was more than willing to throw flames and insults my way. Well guess what...you picked the wrong dude to start shit with. Here is the funny thing, after the competition started, I grew to like Georgie. We shared a few laughs, flamed for fun and had something in common. I respected the fact that he was commited to this competition and was comming into it to kick my ass. Then, I made a big mistake. I sent out a progress pic to a few select bro's...I don't know if got a hold of it or if the comments threw him but a couple weeks later his GF is dying and he can't compete. Fine. I'm not doing this for him anyway. This is my own quest, to get in the best shape I've ever been in. Get some nice photo's. I deserve it. I've been trainning for like almost 20 yrs. I want something I can look back on when I'm old and grey. Now the competitor in me says "great, he quit I win" but the compassion in me says " find a way to make it better for him...help him out". I'm not one to share my personal shit...especially on a public forum. I did. Did he respond? No. Oh yes he did...a couple days later I hear about a post he put up about him eating like 24 granola bars in 2 days or something. It was a complete insult. So I called him out on it. Then he says fuck everybody that doesn't like him...and now he is leaving the board. I say fine, go grow a spine and then come back. I know this is a bit harsh but seriously WTF is this a poor pity party for Georgie? If Mr. Spellwin is worried about his plat membership I'll pay for someone to replace him. In fact to support these comps (which I still think have merrit) lets have acouple of non plats compete for a lifetime membership...what is it like $250? I got it and unlike some...I am good on my word.

If someone calls you out, that is one thing. Then we have the other competition. Juice Authority "progress has been sick". JA your in finance? Never overpromise and underdeliver. I like these contests, it gives me motivation to get up to par to maybe enter one.
I think maybe once a contest is established that it should be locked as a sticky until show time.
This way no trash talking will be allowed and you put up or shut up.
I know you had plenty of reason Jatca for your comments, I wouldn't of been so nice.
Elite without Georgie is just strange.
I don't think there is anything fundamentally wrong with challenge contests. If you don't want to just decline. Who really cares? And if you accept and you know you're gonna lose, take it like a man. Post your pics and you've fulfilled your obligation by accepting the challenge in the first place. If you're lying about stats, don't accept challenges. At least that would make sense.

I'm still not sure, and maybe somebody could tell me why, but why is Georgie thinking of leaving? I don't understand it, am I missing something?
I think contests are good, and I'm itching for one actually. I think having a contest should make you dig deep and really try and bring your potential out. So far we've had a lopsided landslide win: satch vs. JA, a no show: eviction vs. fonz (although eviction sure improved) and now Jatca vs. Georgie, in which it would seem is another drop out. I hope the next couple can compensate for this. I'm gonna train my ass off for my comp, I hope there is still some interest in them.

I dont really know what transpired between jatca and georgie. I am on the boards almost daily and must have missed it. I am not very intelligent either so that may have something to do with it. I personally like reading posts from both bros and have gotten some good info from both.
I agree with some that the competitions should continue however we must remember that some people have big egos and when they get flamed for days on end, it can be devastating. I am told that I look good and there is NO WAY I would call anyone out. count on that. I think before and after pics of the 2 or 3 or however many people competing should do. Everyone should be able to cast a vote (like the regular polls we have here) and that is it. No new threads afterwards talking smack.Friendly jabs are ok, but eventually someone will cross the line. If we want to help other bros on here and have a clean competition , I think it is the only way. Yeah well he should have thought about that before he told me that I wasn't meant for this game and that I was a bitch and that a baby gap tee was too big for me (that was pretty funny). Seriously, we help each other out here but we also talk shit...part of the iron game...you do it in the gym...you do it on the boards. At least I do. It still comes back to the fact that when Georgie cried...we all ALL came to his side and encouraged him to do his best...like a gym partner would do when he spots you. Instead of taking that encouragment he went off and ate granola bars

like I was saying, I agree with the golds statement, but the big picture is a competition and not flaming the shit out of guys that dont come to the table in solid shape. I once considered posting pics to get an honest accessment of my shape and what to work on but I have seen too many people just say man your fat or whatever. I am not fat(16-17 bf) but compared to a lot of guys on here I guess I am. I just think it needs to be done constructively or not at all. There are a lot of guys on here that respect some of you bros and are striving to get the build that you have. I have never seen one bro on here but I respect a lot of your opinions and it would really bother me to get flamed up. I know Georgie may have talked some smack or something but ultimately I doubt it was malicious. Cant we all just get along. Ok, I am calling someone out.
