My house got robbed last night while I was home

im glad all they got away with were material things tho. some of the violent shit you hear about.. as rare as they may be, i dont wanna end up being one of those stories. all it takes is someone gettin the jump on you one time.

If they had been some psycho whose motive was to kill me, I would have easily been killed. I was laying naked on top of the bed with my bedroom door wide open and was connected to a CPAP breathing machine. I can't hear too well with the breathing machine turned on. With my mask on I sound like Darth Vader.

I always sleep in the nude. That particular night my air conditioning was broken as well and it was 87 degrees F in my bedroom so I didn't even put covers over me. I'm halfway convinced that the burglars went upstairs and caught a glance of my naked ass and that scared them away.

Anyway, nude sleeping is so comfortable. I enjoy nude recreation as well and go to nudist resorts or beaches when possible. I also walk around my place in the buff with the curtains closed. Keep in mind that I live alone.

meh, i sleep in the nude or near nude too. it is more comfortable..

its hot and humid in tx, so you get used to wearing less clothing anyways.

keep a toy machine gun near the front door inside the house and keep a real weapon close to you and when someone breaks in run out and smoke em and all you saw was that toy gun, case dismissed.

I feel really bad for anyone that this has happened to. luckily Ive only ever had unoccupied space broken into and nothing really expensive or important to me stolen ...even if breaking the dash of my jeep really did suck balls....

anyway...alarms...when the alarm on the ambulance garage gets set off accidently it take the cops however long it takes.....it depends on whos on where if theyre otherwise busy etc.


at my house there are multiple locks on all the doors and 95 lb czech shepherd on the otherside that will at least buy my family time to get out a window...and ya know what? I own handguns...but I know the statistics...and they arent in your favor
Im more likely to swing that louisville then risk shooting the wrong person or getting my self shot...
Honestly tho hun, you may want to just stay with friends or family until you can move or at least get yourself feeling totally secure in your own home.

A loud alarm woudl do the trick. Doesn't even necessarily have to be tied to a service that would bring the police. Any regular thief is going to be deterred by that cause if not, than somebody's coming up in your home looking for you personally and doesn't give a damn if neighbors are waking up and calling the cops.

Honestly tho hun, you may want to just stay with friends or family until you can move or at least get yourself feeling totally secure in your own home.

I won't be moving any time soon. I already live in the "good part" of the area. The ghetto people have cars too and they can come and visit the nice neighborhoods any time they wish. There's no escaping it. All you can do is take some steps to secure your place as much as possible to lower your odds of getting hit.
