the management..
I train in the largest gym in Ireland, it'll remain nameless for a moment. It's got all the 'bells and whistles' anyone would want in a gym etc etc...
However as winter closes rapidly just one thing concerns me, the car park attendent, or rather the managements reluctance to look after the old guy.
You see, he starts work sometime in the afternoon untill closing time at 10.30pm and patrols the car park continuiously (sp'ing) throughout his working hour's.
There's nowhere for the guy to take a break, or shelter from the elements. Tonight as I was leaving the gym his was sitting in the rain and wind on a rock !! trying to find some comfort in his many layers of clothes !. I returned to the gym but there was no management on duty to see me, but I was told by the lady on the reception that the managment did'nt seem to "give a fuck about him". Fuck my heart went out to the guy, he was like someone homeless on the streets and I wondered briefly if he thought I was just another prick getting into a new car and driving back to their comfortable little lives !.
So I made a decision, I'll have a chat with him next time, I'm sure he has a name etc.. and more importantly I'll chat to the management and if I've no reponse there I'll post the e.mail addy here for you guys to bomb them with site.
What action would you guys do.
I believe he need a small shelter with tea/coffee making facilities, a heater and maybe a TV or radio. These need not interfer with his job as the car park is monitored by CCTV and he could still be monitored and or supervised doing his job.
Any suggestions ?
