My First BJJ Class

Youll get used to it , and the fact is that if youre "Bured out" from doing weights youll tend to look more for a Technique soloution than a Muscular one . In the long run itl probably make your Sensitivity and Technique better .

I just started BJJ this week and boy am I glad everyone else also felt completed wrecked after their first session. It was damn intense. It was the first time I rolled and I also didn't have a clue what to do. I swear I thought I was gonna die that first time and then later my trainer called me again :worried: , this time my opponent made me tap like three times. It was bloody embrassing.

I hate to hijack this thread but is it advisable to do weight lifting on the same day as BJJ training. I do weights in the morning and do BJJ in the afternoon.

I can't imagine weight training after a hard session with open mats, though I have weight trained before such a session.

Yeah there is no way I could do any weight training or any training at all after some mat time. After my last session, my arms were so sore that I could barely drive home but still it was awesome. Can't wait till next monday when I do it again.

Thanks for the comment Djimbe. I do need to work on my technical stuff 'cause I try to just overpower the guy and I do get completely drained before the time is over. Then my opponent can put me into a hold easily. Still need to learn to be more patient and not just try to bulldoze the guy.

i just learned last week that there is a martial arts school in my area that teaches bjj as soon as i get my car im all over it
