So when I found this site back in February it was awesome... (still is but not nearly as much) and since then every month I notice a little more of people jumping on question threads just to say BUY BUY BUY FROM XYZ USE DISCOUNT CODE, then a handful of other people parroting it.

Another complaint of mine, thread-hijacking see 99% of the posts in this thread. Blatant thread hijacking.

Then we get to this week, I really really start noticing it.

Then today, for example, we have needtogetaas basically resurrecting any peptide post in the past month and just spamming the discount code in it...

For example, I made this post on May 3rd. http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/anabolic-steroids/anyone-have-list-peptides-uses-744249.html no one ever posted anything to it besides my intial post then today, spammed with the discount code.

Needto is awesome, but seriously, do we really need to spam a discount code in 2+ year old dormant threads? Do we have to just randomly spam the discount code(s) to every peptide thread that comes up on the first half of the search page?

I feel like I'm on AIM/ICQ/IRC/EMAIL PRE GMAIL... spam spam spam spam spam. Yeah I love the company the code is for, yeah I love the bro that spammed it, but seriously come on now. I see the same crap with Cheap Pinz too every couple of weeks. There are always identical threads being made in 3-5+ boards advertising this or that... blah, it really really takes away from the quality of this site. If I would have seen this in February, I would have stayed here about 5 minutes and never came back.

Hey if they want to fine by me, that's just elitefitness losing my money *shrugs*. As a paying customer I've got the right to voice a complaint about rampant spam in the forums. Spamming a discount code is NOT a valid reason to bump a 3 year dormant thread. Sure, maybe one in the past few days... but one 3 years old, a couple 2 years old? That's just spam.
 
You might want to make a "Dear NEEDTO, I am SOOOOO sorry for bashing your Mod-ship powers of Product Pushing!"....then offer to give him a gift of blood or something...He may even ban your children and their childrens' children.
 
I would have sent a pm to mods, needto before posting a complaint on Chat forums. But that is just what I would have done.
 
true, you can't get banned for things done in the fog, and if that isn't true, your screwed.
 
And you may want to offer to purchase products from ALL our sponsors using his Discount Codes as repayment and show of your loyalty to EF. You should buy at least ONE of each of NEEDTO's own products as well.

I don't think it is such a big deal that I would ever make a thread like this complaining about it. Is it slightly annoying? Maybe, but these sponsors keep this board running and I don't see the big deal. I would love to live a society where everything is free and everyone had whatever they wanted with no work, but that is not realistic. The threads that were bumped (like mine) were indeed interesting and worth reading so no harm anyway. Moderators to quick too lock some threads would be something I could agree with you about if you were complaining about that, but not this.

Look at it this way. Say you are new to the forum, you came here to ask about say in this case peptides. You had a question about something, someone comes in and says "go to abc and use code xyz for 10% off" which had nothing to do with your thread... ok I go "hrmm, wow that company is shady, they had to come spam my thread with their info and discount code but didn't address my question" then as a new member you shrug it off and start searching about the forum, you go to search slap in 'peptides' and find a bunch of threads, then you notice hey that same person just spammed a dozen threads within an hour with the exact same message...

If anything that's hurting purchase peptides, not helping them. It's great to have people say 'hey asks so and so for the discount code, the bro will hook you up' like it was just a few weeks ago, now it's just spam spam spam that code in any thread that has a word related to the products a company sells... pretty lousy, and spamming up threads that haven't had a new post in 3 years, thread necromancy to spam a discount code to people that likely aren't even active on the site anymore is just wrong.
 
I know you people aren't going to listen, or respect my request, but will you keep my topic on topic and take your childish games elsewhere. I don't pollute and derail your threads, please respect mine.

I"m not bashing a mod for promoting. I"m complaining that a mod (which you merely pay to be) is spamming threads that haven't been updated in THREE YEARS with discount codes.
 
Yeah, and oddly enough, HE CAN! Also hes telling members of EF how to save money...Ohhhh noooo...If you dont like being told how to save money in threads where people might be interested in purchasing a product then I dont really know what to tell you. Skip over the ads and dont respond if you dont think its helpful.

First off I would like to say sup to all my chat peeps and say you guys all rule!!!. Great job with this thread guys and I am big time happy as shit to see all of you guys over here rocking your support for the site and the mod staff here. I knew when I out ceo in charge here, loosened up the rules and let you gys have your fun that you would support and respect the site a lot more. However I did not expect you guys to be this awesome at it now so quickly. I have to say you guys have all made me proud today. We have very few rules in chat and you guys followed everyone of them in this thread well still having a bunch of fun lmoa and enjoying your selves.

As we all know we do have rules here in chat and this thread is clearly braking these rules. We do not talk shit about mods, sponsors or get in the way of people doing the jobs they have to do around here.
In return we do our best not to get in the way of you guys having your fun and or learning all you are trying to learn here. This thread should have been a pm to me or another mod. Not some public display of discontent for something you "think" you know best about. So I guess it is now time for me to address the issue.

Well most of you know me and you know I never shay away from a public call out or some one trying to tell me or the rest of the site they know better then I do or better then the leaders that have been on this site for many many many years. It is one thing to come to me or the leaders and express concerns or complaints but a whole new ball game when you profess to know how to do the jobs I have mastered over the years better then I do.

Also that in just 4 short months you have watched the site go from so awesome to to much spam? You also claim you know what is best for Purchasepeps too. My friend I think its great you have an opinion and want to get more involved with the site and express that opinion. However The way you have chosen to do so is not only braking the rules here for a reason, but its pretty disrespectful to me and everyone else here.

We have members and leaders in this very thread who have been here since this sites very conception and yet you are professing to all of them to know how things should be done around here? they are highjacking your thread my friend simple because they truly dont even want to hear what you have to say bro. Axismundi I have been leading this forum for almost 3 years now. In these 3 short years the sites traffic has tripled in size ( the aas and training forums) and the sites bottom dollar has also tripled. Hundreds of thousands of members have been helped. Millions of people have reached every goal they ever dreamed of and then some. We have went from having some crappy sponsors to having some of the best sponsors this industry has to offer. And if you bothered to look we have broken are most users online record a consecutive 10 times in a row this past month!!!!

Now as for what is best for PP or a sponsor/client of mine.

Reaching its highest sales records it ever has since the day they opened shop and you are now telling me I dont know what I am doing?????????????????????????????? And it is already on par today to beet that record by the end of business day today!!!!!!!

My friend I am sorry I know exactly what I am doing and we are now talking about a industry in which I work in. MY profession friend not yours. So although I respect your thoughts and always will I will kindly ask you to keep them off the public forums please. Stop disrupting the flow of this site and acting like you know what is best for everyone because simple put you do not know your ass from your elbow when it comes to the subjects you are speaking of.

They can block me if I'd like, and I'll get my bank to reverse charges made by elite fitness to me recently. Need To is telling me I broke rules, when he's not only breaking rules, but telling you lot to carry right along on hijacking my thread, and to continue to hurl derogatory insults and slurs at me which are things that are against the rules. If the law enforcers are above the law and can choose who must follow and who must not, then maybe I don't want to be here.

Yes at one time bumping old threads was against the rules my friend. But last time I checked "I make the rules around here" not you..

Also I know you think you are being smart by filling out complaint/support tickets about this thread and the topic. However my wife EF Shanna happens to be the suport admin here and she is started to get rather annoyed with 20 support tickets about the same subject bro..
