Had my consult to get my breast implants this morning. On the whole sheet you fill out you have to answer yes/no to use of steroids. So? What do you think?

Not all steroids, but some.
RachelEFC said:that's what I was thinking as well
Mavafanculo said:ask your doc if you can go off the record for a moment, and if he agrees ask if use of whatever ur on makes a difference hypothetically speaking lol.
they'll be taking a bloodtest pre-op anyway to see about rbc/clotting/etc
anything that ends up in your chart can eventually find its way to an insurance Underwriter who'll cancel your policy or raise your rates if he can
RachelEFC said:I asked about the preop stuff... if they do any labwork or ecg or anything, and they don't.
And I did answer "NO"
Tatyana said:I am sure they will do a CBC and a BUN, probably C-RP
Pretty standard procedure.
RachelEFC said:nope I asked specifically. Not unless you're thirty, they don't do those things.
Unless you feel like bleeding to death. Then yes I would tell them something.RachelEFC said:Had my consult to get my breast implants this morning. On the whole sheet you fill out you have to answer yes/no to use of steroids. So? What do you think?
Mavafanculo said:no pre-op bloodwork wow -- wtf lean and mean. does that mean its not general anesthesia?
you prolly should try to talk to him off the record about any hypothetical use. they're probably more concerned about things that increase clotting time (supps, aspirin, etc), but I dont know enuf about this topic.
one other thing that comes to mind, some docs give you vitamin K (forgot the formal name) to decrease clotting time - If you already have "thick blood" (high RBC from certain AAS) that could be a problem.
ahahaha that is some funny shit.Donnie Darko said:Close to where I live, there is a Dr Mammari that does cosmetic surgery and the first time I saw the sign I nearly wrecked the car laughing from the blatant irony.
RachelEFC said:yeah just var. So it seems if I'm not on cycle I probably shouldn't be worried?
As a side note, BP was checked... it was pretty darn low. 100/60.

No, I'm not kidding. I bet you a chocolate brownie that even Raquel Welch, who has never (to my knowledge) officially done a nude shot, has a special folder tucked away somewhere.

Testosterone Cypionate will make you not wake up?Army Vet said:Exactly.
I had to have surgery once and read up on AAS use and anesthesia. Some AAS (I am not sure which ones - I know cyp is one of them) can react to the anesthesia and you'll go to sleep and never get up.
As a general rule, quit using 14-21 days before surgery. If someone does go under the knife while in cycle TELL THEM because they will adjust the anesthesia to one that will not be affected by AAS.
