look sic, this is my buddy, alex...he knows everything about everything metal.
Right, they may have been auditioned, but the fact of the matter is that they were not auditioned by the members of the band , but by THE RECORD COMPANY. This makes them sell outs. They ae selling out because they are letting outside factors influence their music by choosing who is in their band and who is not. it was done for commercial purposes. They may have started out as the hardest of hard, but look at them now! they sell more merchendise than most bands on the planet put together, and i guarendamntee that most of that is to under 15 kiddie goths who think they are the be all and end all of the alternative scene. This is selling out. They are a teeny bopper nu-metal band, becuase the majority of their fan base, at least in our area, is teeny boppers
I find it hard to respect a band that sings about death and pain and all that shit, without having the slightest semblence of talent. To be fair, Joey the drummer is one of the best i have ever seen. But that doesnt make up for poor songwriting, and monotounous, drawn out three chord pap. Im not one of these people who thinks that solo's are essential, but the monotony of Slipknot is just unbearable.
If you like them fair enough. But i, and the rest of humanity, that is, the part with some musical sense, thinks they are talentless shit. Fuck 'ewe, and if 'ewe want it, 'ewe can aves the cunt-jab, right mukka?

Wow, your ignorance stuns me. First off, Slipknot rules, and about that "slipknot auditioned" thing, that is as true as the bible. Until you can prove it there is no reason to believe it. And whats with your on going obcession with "teeny boppers" that is seen so much around this topic? You may think what you will about Slipknot, its your opinion, and everyone has one. However, MY opinion is that Slipknot is the best band out there. Now i wait to be flamed.

Second, to the morons that say that SlipKnot as a band sucks, why has IMMENSELY popular heavy metal Kerrang magazine voted SlipKnot as the best band in the whole FUCKING planet 2 years in a row? Hmmm.......I wonder why? maybe because the editors from the magazine recognize true talent and they're not some dumb f@ck wannabe (welsh power house) that obviously has no idea what talent is and just talks straight out of his annalyy raped ass.
Third, I can't belive ppl call SlipKnot sellouts. Just because they sell albums doesn't mean they're sellouts. If they were in this for the money, they would have only 4 guys instead of 9. if they were 4 guysthe money would be much greater for the band instead of 9. With 9 guys, they have to distribute the money evenly, thus making their portion alot smaller than if they were only 4. Clearly they're not in this for the money.
