Along with poison by Alice Cooper, Runaway by linkin park and Babylon, by someone whos name eledus me, they all produce the effect of me running screaming for the hills!

I feel reserved to comment on the quality of the musical abilities of slipknot, but i have to agree with him on one thing, Paul is NOT a good bassist.

Being a bassist myself, i feel i do have an insight into it. It's is my, and friend's of mine who play bass' opinion, that if you cant play 4 string bass, dont bother with 5.

I feel that the bassline has a very profound influence on the quality of the music, and i can barely even hear it on slipkno's matirial.

If you look at the greatest bands of recent times, they have all had top quality bassist, who dont so much as complement the music, as make it good themselves.

Im talking about people like Flea of RHCP, Timmy C of RATM (Thats my view), Cliff Burton ex Metallica

Without being argumentative, i do not feel that paul is anywhere near a good bassist.

Well for a start Im not gonna say either way about Paul just yet, maybe i think he aint too good, maybe i think he is good. But as Alcunt pointed out that a lot of bands have had good bassists that helped them tremendously. though im not sure that that can apply in the same way to Slipknot, Metalica are a four piece adn so the influence of the bassist would be felt more, where as Slipknot have 9 players, so its more of a group effort.

Al, is this making sense, it does to me, and i know what i wanna say but im tired and noit sure how to put it. Ah fuck it if it dont ill come baclk after some sleep and sort it out.


WPH: Are you ever gonna give up on Slipknot saying theyre gothic? It was pointed out what gothic bands were a few pages ago. Slipknot arent gothic. As ive said before goths by you may listen to them, but theyre still not gothic music. No way no how.

And as for your "analysis" of the band, how come theyre members have receeived multiple awards from Kerrang adn other magazines then? (Sic) listed what Slipknot had won a few pages back.
