Muscle Milk tastes too good!! Some advice needed->

I have been using Labrada low carb MRP's for just over a year and I finally got around to trying Muscle Milk- damn, now the Labrada tastes like shit to me! Muscle Milk is like candy!! I wish Cytosport made a lower fat Muscle Milk. The Labrada MRP's really can't be beat -230 cals,2g fat,12g carbs and 42g protein!
Compared with Muscle Milk-348 cals(with water anyway), 18g fat,12g carbs,32g protein.

What I am wondering is if that extra fat makes a differance- I do 1 Muscle Milk shake(breakfast) and 2 Labrada shakes throughout the day(1 mid afternoon and 1 before bed). I like the Labrada product because with 2g's fat I dont have to worry about it.
I have Laura Scudders natty PB for fats but lately I have cut it out of my diet. I could switch to the Muscle Milk packets and stop using the Labrada MRP's but I am concerned about that extra 16g fat per serving. What do you guys think? Should I stay with what I am doing to keep the fat g's low? According to the Muscle Milk label they use "good lipids" fat so then I assume I could cut out the natty PB and rely on the Muscle Milk for my fat intake(which would be 54g/day-seems too high). Any advice would be appreciated...thanks. :)

The fat is supposed to be good fat- a sort of fuel fat- like carbs are fuel- well MCT's are supposedly like a fuel so they are easily used for energy. My question is would MuscleMilk be good before bed cause it's got Caseins and Caseinates in it- good for slow absorbtion. But if those fats are good for fuel and there not being used while sleeping- there most likely to get stored correct? Anyone?

That was my feeling as well- that it might not be too good before bed, that is why I have been using the Labrada before bed. It does say that Muscle Milk is good before bed on the package but I'm not really sure. Seems like it would be better pre/post-workout or for breakfast.

of course there going to say that it's good before bed they want you to take that shit everymeal so you go through tubs like candy. I made a thread in the anabolics forum cause people don't visit these as much so check that one out if you want some answers.

Check out the ingredients... MCT's is not that much of it in there, there's much more Cannola Oil in there. So it's not like the fats it does have are all that great to begin w/. When was the last time you heard someone say "Yes i take cannola oil" there's a reason behind that.

actually Canola oil is good for you. It is essential fat.
Fat Tip #2: It's essential to eat EFAs

All about omegas. The two most important essential fatty acids are linolenic acid (also known as an omega 3 fatty acid) and linoleic acid (also known as an omega 6 fatty acid). The omega number describes where the important carbon atom is located on the fat molecule. If this atom is third from the end, the fatty acid is known as an omega 3 fatty acid (omega 3 is the last letter of the Greek alphabet and means "end"). If it's sixth from the end, it's known as an omega 6 fatty acid (vegetable oils, nuts, and seeds). Omega 3 fatty acids especially have a valuable role in reducing the risk of heart disease and building healthy brain cells. The standard American diet (SAD) is sadly deficient in omega 3s, found mainly in plant foods (especially canola oil and flax oil, soybeans, and walnuts) and seafood.

I'm just a little skeptical of the amount of saturated fat in Muscle Milk. 18g of fat perserving in the prepackaged, 8g saturated. That's alot of saturated fat. Even though they claim that 80% of the saturated fats are in the form of MCT's which are supposedly burned for energy. I'm too skeptical...I like to see a lab test result on this shit.

Dude, I'm surprised at you. There is nothing good about Canola
oil....NOTHING! It (along with Palm kernal) is one of the worst
fat's for you. The three fats that I avoid in order,

1. ANYTHING Partially Hydrogenated!!
2. Palm Kernal
3. Canola

WTF?!?!- I was just restating what I read. I got my info from: http://www.askdrsears.com/html/4/T041300.asp#T041303

I don't use Canola oil, I only use Udo's and Omega 3 fish oil capsules. I just wanted to inform riskybizz of what I had read. So guile - you saying that drsears is wrong? Read that link! Tell me what you think. L8

So you think there is too much fat in the Muscle Milk to be used more than 1-2 times a day? I dont really use any other fats anymore- except what I get in the food I eat.
