I'm working today too - from home though. Just hooked the 24" monitor to my laptop so I'm all set.

Im an undergrad now for BS Bio/fine arts
and yeah...Ima gear head but luckily just get to play service writer here
I even sometimes get to weasel out of my own stuff by getting someone here to do it

yeah, very odd dbl major
but I actually know a cpl of surgeons that did em both...so I dunno that its really weird
Im seriously considering a third major or minor but it'll add two more yrs of school

we do custom bending/welding super hangers etc

it's NOT weird. . .but it does speak to the fact that you are in touch with both sides of your brain. . .as i'm sure are many surgeons.

well, to be honest art comes very easily to me...I sincerely believe this is genetics
my spatial awareness helps me mechanical stuff
mechanical stuff kind of flows into science for me
so it probably all boils down to art for me...and SOME intuition and deep empathy drive me the rest of the way for anything medical
even when I can't help I can at least reassure
