Monday - Lower Body

First off, I got in the gym and had a huge rush of adrenaline, havent really been in there full strength in over 3 weeks. Nevertheless, I took it light and easy, and my lifting goal is to strengthen my core ( whereas my physique goal is 195 @ 8% ). All exercises performed raw, and strict form to prevent injuries.

Squat ( wide & deep )

45x8
95x8
135x6
185x6
225x6x3 ( back is feeling great, only rep that gave me trouble was the final rep of the final set, and that still went up easy as far as squatting goes )
135x20 ( breathing good, should have done about 165 )

Stiff Leg Deadlifts

135x8
185x8x2 ( i could feel the burn in my erecters & ZERO pain )

Standing Calf Press ( in the smith machine toes on a block )

95x8
135x8x2

Ofcoarse i did some other core work too.

Strength wise, I could tell I was out of the gym for awhile. My squats are down ( I estimate I could push out 245 for a full 3x6, a 30 pound drop ) The stiff legs felt great. Man did i miss the gym. Volume is down, but i still managed to hit my legs hard. As I get back into it, about a month or so, Im gonna add in another set on those 2x8s, and maybe another one on the 3x6s.

next week, depends on when we test for lacrosse, if we do test, then i dont know.

if not, i want to squat for 245, stiff leg 195, calf press felt good.

and run, run, run. Gotta get my ass back into game shape.
 
sounds good bro ive been training for lax too

lotta high volume workouts, good eating and tons of shots on the cage
 
ye i honestly have no clue what position im playing this year. i was going to be a long stik middie, but we lost a short stick D man, and theres always the possibility of me going to offensive middie. So i just run and run till my legs are shot. I need to get the weights back up there tho, thats one advantage i always had, strength ( from football ) to push others around.
