Fair enough Zyg, mostly just a series of misunderstandings.... lets lock this thread after you read my response...I did get an automated pm but it just says "your thread was moved"

Mod in question: I found it disrespectful of you to delete and move my posts
Who did it say the PM was from? Im sure this feature was added to make things easier for us MODs as well as notify users but it would be nice if it stated who moved it. It may also be nice if there was perhaps a dropdown with some short predefined reasons we could select such as simply "off topic", "against the rules", offensive comments" and stuff like that.Frackal said:

look how much time has been wasted here discussing semantics..
obviously what is On and OFF topic will vary.. its subjective..
but there is alot of clutter.. sometimes posts get moved that might be better in the one forum or the other.. it happens.. but there are a lot of threads that have to be moved.. posts answered..etc..
if you post an OT post.. you run the risk of it being moved.. but it may not be.. its luck.. this is neither a dictatorship nor a democracy... so their will be inconsistancy...
agree that some OT posts are very good and beneficial to the board.. but sometimes because of the volume of OT posts.. the good goes out (or gets moved) with the bad..

I can only speak for the boards where i Moderate but when a post is moved or deleted and automated mail is sent telling the originator what has happened and who (user name) did it. This has reduced the number of ''why'' posts and reduced work for the Mod team.
Elite is one of if not the biggest AAS board on the net and the Mod team do have their work cut out policing as well as helping members. They are also here to learn and enjoy the board.
I am sure Georges IT team could implement this and would say it is a benefit to all.
