Misconceptions

Just had a few thoughts rambling through head this morning.

#1: Primo is best used for cutting.

Why? This is a bullshit rumor. Primo is used by contestants when it gets close to competition time because it maintains muscle without bloat. That's it. It is no more a cutting drug than any other steroid and every bit as much of a bulking drug as testosterone -- once you lose the water weight.

#2: Asking people; "What are your goals?"

What the fuck do you think his goals are? If your goals are anything other than building muscle and losing fat, you shouldn't be on a bodybuilding board!!! Which leads me to....

#3: People who use numbers.

For example ; "I want to gain 25 pounds in the next 8 weeks." You might as well say, " I want to be 6' 4" and shoot loads like Peter North." What the fuck? Those type of benchmarks are idiotic. Just work at bodybuilding and see what happens. If your goals are set in terms to so many pounds in so many weeks, believe me, you will be disappointed. Even if you reach them, you won;t keep them. Bodybuilding is a lifestyle, not a game with a time clock.

#4: Being proud of not using supplements.

That's like the guys who brag about training naturally. GREAT! But don't expect any medals for doing it the hard way. Or how about the people who say, I smoke and drink and my health is fine! Terrific. But you're taking a bigger risk. It's nothing to be proud of. That's like saying "When I drive to work, I drive 15 miles out of the way every day! But I get there every time! Yeah. But it's just pointless.

#5: Giving advice based on limited information.

If you want to pass along information, fine. And if you disagree with something, fine. But what annoys me is when someone will defend a point without offering any rebuttal other than "that's what everyone does", or, "That's what (some guru) says! This is a discussion board. Discuss. Or even argue or debate, but don't blindly defend a position because it's what you've heard somewhere else. It's more fun to learn a more effective way than to defend a less effective way.

That's it for now. Time for another cuppa coffee.

Likeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :D

Great stuff Nelson. Totally agree.

Accept one revision...some gents, like myself, are into the endurance sports...and look to hormones for enhancement.

This is really the only instance I can think of, where someones 'goals' may be helpful.

Just a thought.

Good shit. You forgot about the 4000, 5000 calories diets. When in the days of Arnold and Big Lou, a snack was an orange.

lmao Ya I been getting sick of this one along with others but it can help to fine tune advice depending.

Get a life no one gives a shit that you were to cool to use supplement. saying it is nothing more then a form of " O look at me give me attention"..

Looks like all the boys are on tonight lets have some fun

Love it all, especially number 4. I hated guys in high school who gave me so much shit for using creatine and bragged about how they didnt use it.

I like it when a non-workout friend(yet a gym lifetime member) sees me and says, "i almost went into the gym today" or when they do come in because its spring time and they want to get cut for summer and they are at least 30lbs overweight and they don't even want to consider changing thier horrible eating habits and . . . . .they tell me, "Man, i just can't drink water. That tastes nasty" In my head I'm screaming, "DON'T F_ING ASK ME ONE MORE QUESTION about EXCERSISE or DIET! GO HOME and PLAY YOUR F-ING WII to lose weight" ?was that roid rage?

Not roid rage, just your tolerance for bs is down. Every spring co-workers want to come to the gym w/ me. they go anywhere from once to 3 wks and then i don't see them again for a year. of course my favorite is when they come, ask me for advice and then just do their own thing which is usually arms.
