milk and bodybuilding?

Mike, it may not be the 1% lactose in that shake, but the whey protein. Whey gives many people the shits -- however, if you use high grade pure isolate (as opposed to concentrate) it's usually easier on the stomach.

May want to experiment with that...

i drink almost a gallon of whole milk a day. Yeah baby!! I was 155lb 2 years ago, and now i am 230lbs. I am 5'11

I replace milk by soy milk. Almost nothing in but 0.5 C , 2 g P and a few Fat for 100ML. So it's fine for cutting. More tasty than water anyway!!:)
 
who cares what arnold said 'milk is for babies'...then he was baybe cos he drunk the stuff all the time...besides dont trust arnold for bodybuilding advice, although he was a great bodybuilder he was also a liar and tried to put others down...youve seen pumping iron and thats only a film, but you can see what hes like through it...he is business minded like joe weider... milk is great...if your not lactose intolerant, it gives 35 grams of protien or so per litre...keep drinking until you want to cut up for contest...drink whole milk even, you will put on weight, really helps to bulk up.
 
Yes I agree that milk is good for bulking up but it does seem to make me look fatter around the stomach and bloated. Anybody know why? I heard it might have something to do with lactose?
