OK, RE-READ the post - didn't properly sink in. Carb cycle the COMPLEX carbs, gotcha :silly:

What's wrong with sardines? LOL! I love them. No one else in my office does though
Cool! You've jumped on the AM cardio bandwagon too! You know, it's because of YOUR post on how to get yourself out of bed that I'm doing it now too! Thank you for that....I just really HATE mornings!! lol

My grandpa use to eat sardines, and other things like....pigs feet :barf:

Don't sardines have tons of sodium in them?

Glad the getting up thing is working for you. Today was HARD! So I rolled over, fired up the laptop, checked the board and was motivated to go!! whatever works.

Just checking the sardine can...............damn. Yes, a serving has nearly a gram of sodium :worried: Didn't even think about that! Cross those off the shopping list.

Thanks for the tip :bigkiss:

AM HIIT Cardio – treadmill – 13 mins 6.3kph @ 5% and 15% incline
Then: 7 mins step mill @ level 7 steady state

I have decided to stick to low/no carb for a couple more days and AM cardio. I shall resume weights at the weekend when I can have a carb up breakfast and try to lift heavy. I'm going through more of a detox than I imagined and I guess I'll have to confess a couple of naughties to explain why. I had coffee everyday and never logged it - you know, just coffee, splash milk etc. but some days I would have 5 cups. I've now gone cold turkey and I'm in pain and it's only the second day :worried: I've replaced it with green tea and managed over a gallon of water today but the headache is still a killer. Plus with the low/no carb, mmm, a mess.

My weekend was full of junk. I've bloated like a balloon (couldn't even get my pants on today) due to the carbs so that is another reason why I just feel like "cleaning out". It's OK, I'll get through it.

HIIT was unbelievable. At the end of the 12th minute I felt like I couldn't breathe so I switched to the step mill. But that's OK, I'll build up again.

Determination is still alive even though I feel like absolute shit.

;)

Good post, Mermaid. Things are looking good.

Since you're not lifting until the weekend, I need you to do 50 total bodyweight squats and 30 pushups throughout the day, broken up however you need to.

Everyday.

I sorta did the same thing when I restarted. I ate the same meals for the first week just to flush all the pipes and I also struggled with working 1 body part per day and barely doing any cardio.

Now I'm adding the morning cardio every day, changed up to working each body part twice per week. I'm tired and sore today but I'm not giving up.

Salmon fight to swim upstream & they never give up so don't even think you have the option of quiting. Now dust yourself off and let's go. :p

I believe giving up is against the "MER CODE" anyway, they might reposess your fins ;)
