Well it finally happened today. For those of you who don't follow my log, I started the linear 5x5 workout 5 weeks ago. I started deadlifting two weeks before that and my goal was a 500lb deadlift. So today on week 7 I pulled it.

Thanks to Mike for the good competition.

Now to the video:

500x1:

Lockout was slow....oh and you form Nazis keep in mind this was a true maximal effort and my working weight form is much crisper.

I followed up with 405x5 (PR by 15lbs). I'll post that video later.

Here it is:

The form is off due to the fact that this is post 500 and I am tired. I know I shouldn't set the weight down like that but it was tough to think and I usually don't do that.

Comments please!!

Hey all!!! I had a great workout last friday. Kicked some ass, hit all new PR's. I left my W/O sheet at work, so i dont have my exact #'s but i did great.

ALso, as promised, here are my videos..

405x1 (suit) Sqaut

485x1 (suit) Deadlift
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlQTNWMdqI4
(this is long, because i didnt edit anything, its about 1min, and some1 fuckin walks infront of the camera, but u can clearly see i lock.

Im proud as hell to hit 405x1, and then deadlift 485.
I also only used the suit because i didnt want to unstrap and take it off for the deadlift. For the squat i wanted to use it because i wanted to know what 405 felt like on top.

Thanks!
Its so fuckin hot here in NY its about 100+ w/ the heat index. Looks like ill be relaxing for a couple days....

Posted my first vid in another thread. Quick synopsis - I have to lay off squats/deads/oly lifts until the tendonitis in my knees clears up. Or just get surgery and lop off my legs altogether.

Figured in the meantime to up my pressing strength and work on a few upper back movements.

For pressing I am using the 1-6 routine from Poliquin (http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=459575)

06.07.24 close grip bench
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8zDQgr_ZaM

06.07.30 close grip bench
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TInmDdSQX4

Second workout suffered from a couple of things: having done a shoulder workout 48 hours prior and it was Sunday. I hate lifting on Sundays.

Will post up links to upcoming workouts as they happen. Goal is to work up to a 405# close grip bench (12"-14" space between hands).

Certainly not the type of workout that most of you are accustomed to seeing, but what the hell...it's how I roll.

10" log, 200lbs, 3 sets of 5
Farmers Hold, 200lbs in each hand for however long, 270lbs in each hand for 32.5 secs

BRO AMAZING!

I love strongmen competitions. Keep em coming!
