I'm a happy son of a bitch. I'm about to buy tickets I think for this concert. Megadeth is the closest to what I can call my "favorirte band" aside from just a few others. My life would be complete (somewhat) if I get to see them. woohoo

downside - over $30 a ticket (w/tax, etc) and I have to buy from Ticketmaster, whom I HATE with a passion

i take that back, that was mean. but i mean seriously you know what that crowd is going to be like. you could ask for a show of hands there of who saw jerry springer last night and it would be like seeing people in a 3rd world country trying to catch $100 bills falling from the sky.

d00d, i have held my own in many mosh pits,... at trashy joints too - not proud of that - just saying

a megadeth concert i laugh at compared to some of the crap ive been to.

i hope its good. there only looked to be one other band playing with them that I could tell and I hadn't heard of them before

i havent ever been to deep ellum, it's rough, so i've heard
any tips on staying alive?

deep ellum is a cool venue...i bet you'll have a great time at the show. static X is playing there sept 7. it's small enough that you'll be able to get a decent view of (is it Dave mustaine??) the band no matter where you are.
deep ellum has never been a rough part of town...you have absolutely nothing to worry about. maybe back in the early 90s when it was more full of punks and people with spikey mohawks that everyone assumes is jacked up on pcp and dangerous. that's the impression most people have of deep ellum who have never been down there. i see more and more yuppies down there every year. it's gotten really soft. the only seedy people down there are the bums asking for $$ and all they want is your money. also some hari krishnas run around every now and then doing that weird shit they do singing that song and pulling each other's ponytails.
